More fun than I thought it would be frankly.

An "A" game for sure and more fun than El Dorado IMO. Not selling mine.

Been on my wishlist for awhile. Good YouTube video by EM Pinman too.

When you post pictures please post the name of the game(s). It will help future searching within the thread. Thanks

Along with it's add-a-ball partner "Pleasure Isle", probably two of the best multi-player EM games ever produced by Gottlieb. Major good lookers as well!

I got a trolley a little while ago which allows you to drag n drop machines till you get a nice line. I tried to group them but eventually a random mix felt best. The wedgeheads sort of just clumped together. All the really sad ones hang out together in the laundry

Nice gameroom! So you use a trolley to move your "Volley"?

It has some great art. It can be frustrating and difficult to score high on despite the zipper flippers. I really like the multi-ball feature. It’s one of my kids favorite games.

This game is on my loose "would like to have list" but not on the "must have"

It looks like fun. Need to get off my butt and proceed with work on Bazaar that has been sitting in the garage.. busy busy.

Thanks, will check with them, causse if I buy a full set, for me it's:
Full set price + expensive shipping taxes + import taxes
Which makes it a very expensive part

Going to be a winter repaint project with extra lamps behind the backglass going to be added to light up the buildings.

Tough game! I'm looking forward to the challenge of refurbishment and beating it.

This will be my first game that will have splatter finish.

This machine was picked up hopefully as a trade for another Bally either Capersville, Cosmos or Surfer, though Id consider anything Ted Zale.
It needs love but has a NOS backglass, good plastics and internals.
Play is ok, the skill shot is great, there's not a lot of planning in play, just bash them around. A bit of a drainer
Art is pretty much what you'd find in a kids illustrated book of knowledge which is where I suspect it was lifted from.
Its ok and as a multiball, tends to get noticed in an EM lineup.
I much prefer my Wiggler

Sure is a pretty machine. Both the playfield and backglass. Looks to me like it would stand out in any lineup. Congrats.

Thanks! "Not work on till winter" has already slid out the window as I have replaced the flipper bats and bushings, added color changing LED to the backglass along with warm white LED for the score reels and sealed the backglass with triple thick.

Hey needs to be reliable while waiting its turn in the queue.

Traded my Far Out for this Target Alpha, and I enjoy it a lot!! Really digging it!

Only found 2 issues so far;
- GI will sometime just go out and come back later on
- right outlane 5K light never lites but does give 5k. Light itself and socket are ok.

The GI issue sounds like a cold solder issue. That is where I would start.

I would start with looking at switches on outlane relay that sends power to the light. Have you checked for voltage at the light socket? Work backwards from there to see where the power comes from. Use the Left lane as a good place for reference.

Check the contacts on the tilt relay.

Thanks guys, 2 issues seem solved!
But it looks like I created a new one while adressing the others:
Now when I put only one player, I play ball 1 as P1, ok but then it jumps to ball 1 of P4. Etc.
Any idea of where to look? This was not occuring before.

Edit: solved by tweaking a tiny bit the stepper unit

I really like the layout and progressive ruleset on this game.I restored one myself earlier this year and have been toying with the idea of keeping it. It's a lot of fun! That's awesome you are sharing your passion for pinball with others that can use a welcome distraction.

Just completed a cab repaint on my GTB Crosstown. The cab was in a pretty sorry state with quite a bit of de-lamination and dreadful touchups. The bottom board was shedding its outer layers so that was replaced.
Adopted my normal cab stencil approach which is to take tracings then transfer those to 7mm mdf board and cut using a Makita cordless jigsaw. On the front of the cab I prepared the stencils using timber moulding. The small odd looking round hole stencil came about because on one side I overlooked spraying the flipper button surround ( so rather than re apply whole stencil quicker to make a one off stencil).

Well actually the GI issue has come back but it's more than that, all playfield lights die, including inserts. Does look like tilt related but contacts are just fine and soldering seem ok.

For the other issue, it was a broke wire but could not be seen as it was internal.

Check the fuse clip, and install a new fuse too. I've seen plenty of intermittent fuses. They heat up, and the internal connection gets flaky.

Just finished installing a Wade playfield into my Quick Draw. I had this playfield clear coated with auto clear before installing. It plays different - not as fast. I think it needs to be broken in. I'm happy with how it turned out.

That looks great, but why is clear coating needed on one of his playfields?

#11891 4 years ago
Quoted from Playdium:

That looks great, but why is clear coating needed on one of his playfields?

A few reasons:
1. A friend with easy affordable access to clearcoating talked me into it.
2. There are no star inserts to get screwed up on this pf so why not.
3. The key lines are the last layer of screening on these playfields and the paint for them sits high from the rest of the playfield. You can feel them. The clear protects them. This is probably overkill for home use but doesn't hurt.

Understood, makes sense, and looks amazing. But curious why it plays slower.

Gorgeous! I like to add clear coat to my Wade Krause playfields as well unless client requested as is. I agree, the key lines are raised, I would be worried about wear in that area.

I'm on Wade's list for the next run of Quick Draw; can't wait as I love that game.

I auto clear his playfield's also for several reason's, one is my auto clear is a premium urethane that will protect the finish, never yellow (has uv absorbers in it) and will never crack like a lacquer finish.

Is this a little overkill for a home use machine - yes - but I'll never have to worry about it again and it's easy with a blank non-populated playfield.

I would replace the fuse holders. I've chased intermittent light issues for days on two machines. My fuse holder looked and felt good, but I could not track down the issue anywhere else. I replaced the entire fuse block with a new one from GPE and lights are on and rock solid.

You did get the colors, and everything else, right on your playfield. I'm still amazed at the quality of your work.

These are some of my favorites. I like the late model em’s after 1976, some of the last em’s produced play a lot like solid-states!

I finally finished swapping to a better playfield in Dodge City. Now I have the lineup the way it's supposed to be with Dodge City sitting right next to Shipmates! Someday maybe I'll stencil both games, but for now it's good enough to have them both playing 100%.
