Wow, you get the whole garage for pins? I only get half. LOL

#10405 6 years ago

Pinballbrian I checked and although I have lots of playfield pics of Funland I only have a few of the mechanicals inside the game and not enough detail likely to help. I’m happy to send then if you like but am not sure they’d be much help.

#10406 6 years ago

Thanks anyway goldenboy.i have pics of two relays.but still looking.i guess schems don't have symbols for lock in blades.no one has told me to look there ha ha.usual answer.ha ha.i like pics myself for these kind of issues.much faster and easier for country boy.ill ask again in couple days.i would like to see a thread for tech issues that don't go dead on here .again thanks.anyone else?

Sold off a bunch of stuff recently to help pay for some home renovation. Still have enough games to fill a wall in the game room. Just got this Williams Jig Saw from a buddy in partial trade. The Little Chief from another buddy a couple months back. Bowlette came home last Summer. 4 Bagger and Skill Roll have been with me since the early days.

Little Chief is getting a lot of attention lately! Friend got one, I got one, another friend got one, you got one, two others recently went up for sale...

#10410 6 years ago

Nice cave Alexf.would like to check out your bowling game.never seen one like that.glad I picked up a bowler last year.been collecting new parts to freshen it up.seems last year they weren't that popular as I seen a few on ebay going cheap.this year opposite. Starting to see a lot more interest in them.your mini bowler caught my eye.seems to fit in good with rest of your machines.

I like everything in that room, but your "SCORE" sign really sticks out. Very cool.

Nice collection, my brother-in-law collects Pepsi products and is harder to collect as more collect the Coke products.

I miss drinks in the bottles, has a certain taste.

Here's a pic I have handy. Narrower than a pin and about as long as my Pitch and bat. Single player. Scores regulation bowling. One of the few arcades Gottlieb made. There are some nice videos of a few in action on Youtube.

Nice lineup. How's the playfield on your "Jig Saw"? Most I've seen are shot. Also, does yours have a Williams "lightning bolt" logo toward the bottom of the playfield, or just a circle? I've seen them both ways. I think some "Jig Saw" machines had a game over relay, and others did not. I'm not sure if every backglass is screened with "game over" or not. Does yours light "game over" and shut off playfield power after the last ball drains?

My buddy told me the playfield has some touch-ups but they haven't jumped out at me. I haven't dug in to inspect that close. I know the puzzle looks good and original. Around the pops may have had some wear at one time. Hmm, I don't know for sure but I think it has the lightning bolt logo on the bottom. It has a Shay glass in it and lights "Game Over" when complete. I think the playfield is still live though after game over.

Edit: Pics added.

Shop job done on my Williams Triple Strike

Years back, I traveled a ways to check out a couple machines with Gottlieb Surfer being
the main purpose. They were in a tiny basement. Although only $100/per, I told them
I only wanted the Surfer, and they said to just take the other one which was Triple Strike..
After going through it, I had a big surprise. I got into playing that machine much more than
I thought trying to complete Strikes (I believe). The one that I had wasn't bad, but yours look
very nice. Good job!

#10430 6 years ago

pinaholic nice EM stash you have.

Just happened on a used back glass today! It's about 98% good, with only a few small spots flaking off. Best of all was the price, FREE!

Big Ben and TZ were taken to a 50's dance last night. Was dark, so was hard to get good pics, but this one is the best. Some good costumes worn.

that pf is toasty

#10443 6 years ago

It's a good looking project if you can find playfield.like that it has score reels.and the cabinet looks good.if your mechs are good in cabinet and back box. That's good.see if mechs are as shiny as underneath playfield.if not .someone might have swapped playfield already.because they don't match.glass and cabinet to nice for that wore of field.see parts and machines for sale threads.good luck.

#10444 6 years ago

A rusty pitted pinball probably the culprit
and a game that was fun enough to be played to near death.

Despite the heavy PF wear, you should post pics of the PF (& BG&CAB) to ipdb.org
as they have almost nothing for visual reference there.
PF layout looks interesting for a 50s multiplayer,
but wondering how hard/easy it would be to get ball back up to top of the PF.

I assume you elected to remove BG from some games prior to storage.
But why not all? Just not convenient at the time and where are the other missing BGs, in the house hopefully.

And what game is the one between Stern Pinball and GTB Surfer?

#10447 6 years ago

Most of the BGs are in the house. The only ones that still in th machines are toast. Bally Champ.

Thanks for guidance. I look forward to getting into it tomorrow when I get help unloading from the van. I think you're onto something. The flyer on IPBD shows metal legs, but it came with what look like original wood legs (not reproductions). Flyer says metal door, but its the matching wood style. Curious.

The wear pattern (paint fade) on your cabinet looks like it had metal legs on it at one time.
