The game is one of the original 80 production "Rogo"s

Just to clarify, This morning here in North America, it is April 1st. Is this a fools joke?

+ The photos do appear to be of a pin in wonderful condition.

how

I was kidding around a little bit. I'm skeptical of 4-1 announcements too

i had a regular painted on many years ago and found it very uneventful. i thought maybe this one had something special other than the better colors
what i am more interested in is the process of shipping from Germany..... i really would like to know how it was done. i have seen a few pins from the euro zone that if i could ship with minimum headache i would of loved to get

#8355 2 years ago

I had a RoGo once, but it was nowhere near that nice. Congrats Rat!. Now all you need is a HUO El Toro to put next to it.

#8356 2 years ago

Ends with an O, and ends with an O.

Then there was these three dummies. I hope the machine gets here in one piece.

Why did they switch to green? The blue looks much better.

Quoted from dasvis:

Visited the Pacific pinball museum this week

Did you get to see the PPM annex?
Should have tried to talk to Mike Schiess
and mentioned my name and Salem,
might have gotten to sneak a peek,
if he had the time.

#8363 2 years ago

Great snag of the Blue RoGo, certainly fairly rare;
Great art package
but i think you may be disappointed in the game play;
not the most fun to play IMHO;
i'd put it on par with Voltan game play.
But to each his own.

Vulcan game looks very nice and clean.

In the spirit of the new tobacco tax that went into effect today that now raises the price of a pack of cigarettes to over $8 in the fair state of California, I started a thread to post picks of all pinball art related to smoking and the use of tobacco.

Feel free to join in!

So I got confirmation that my game is shipped out and headed here all the way from Germany. I want to give a shout out to Xerico aka Marcus for locating this game for me and passing on the lead. The game is one of the original 80 production "Rogo"s. This was a very expensive game to acquire and I have heard that the game play is awesome. I plan to have this game restored to all its glory and NicVolta has agreed to help me with the mechanics inside the game sometime late summer or early fall. Enjoy some of the pictures that I have of the game.

Tell me this is a bad Aprils Fool.

No, I was with the wife & my daughter. Was lucky to get 2-1/2 hours there, but did my best to play as many woodrails & 60's EM's as I could. Did not see any with your name on the display tag.
They had some really nice pins, but a few needed adjustments & cleanings.

April Fools Everyone!! Man that was fun! To me Ro Go is the BIGGEST pile of firewood to ever be produced by Bally. I will tell you all the real game once it is loaded on a STI truck and on its way here.

I'm buying a Chicago Coin Red Baron, imported from China, as it is the best pinball machine ever made!

Mike, I suggest you get rid of those pesky Wedgeheads and get on the Chicago Coin pinball bandwagon too!

In all seriousness this guy wanted a personal check. (whatever) and it has to clear funds before it is picked up by STI. I promise more details the minute the game is loaded on a STI truck.

i bit but it does look better in blue.

I was going to say something like "I just threw up in my mouth a little", but I didn't want to hurt your feelings. So, I guess I bit, but was a tiny bit skeptical. I'm really glad it's not a blue "RoGo". Blue or green, it's just a turd of a different color!

Quoted from Rat_Tomago:

This should have been the tip-off.
Anyone who knows anything about pinball should know that this is one of the biggest stinkers ever made.
My wife's brother-in-law, who isn't a pinball guy, has a pretty nice one in the regular green variety. He got it for free, just for the kids to play. I never see anyone play it. I give it a go every time we visit there, but I usually just walk away after two games, completely unfulfilled and uninspired.

Marblehead Town Hall proudly owns the original Spirit of 76. I love the tie-in to my town with this awesome 4 player. It's truly a great tourney game for me, the boys and a bottle of bourbon.

The plastics depicting exploration in covered wagon to Apollo moon rockets also fills me with pride. That's a hellava lot of progress in 200 years.

I agree. From wagons that had an occasional wheel fall of to spacecraft that only had one that caught fire on the launch pad makes me proud to be an American

Nah, I can wait. I'm still betting on "Moon Shot", but whatever.

I promised I wouldn't give it away but here's a hint. There was one sitting next to the Pit Stop when I purchased it a few years ago.

#8399 2 years ago

There was however a rare version of that game with a difference on the playfield. Still, nothing to write home about.

Yeah, I don't wanna mess up his grab. Narrowing it down that much ain't half bad though.

Still excited for pictures!
