Quoted from jrpinball:

What water table? If you had one anywhere near ground level, I'd be out there selling well pumps!
There's areas on my property where the water table is like two feet down. I have a basement, and it stays dry all the time (luckily).

well you just jinxed that.
we get a inch of rain tonight and you will have a fott of water in the basement in the morning

[NOT MINE]

Stopped by my friend Joe's house, he is not a Pinsider. He has some of the nicest original machines I have EVER seen, a lot of them look like they just came off of the line even though he's not as a serious collector as many here, his lineup stays the same and I don't blame him. Every time I go over there I am more astonished every time even though the games don't change.

All playfields are factory original and I think all glasses except 1 or 2 are fully original as well. All cabinet paint is original.

Funny story, he is [my mom's best friend from the 80's who I've known since I was a little kid]'s husband and that is how I found these machines by visiting them after I was already in the hobby, and it turns out he is very good friends with Vic and other NJ collectors. Very small world. He talked for a few months about stopping by a friends' house who owns machines and then months later finally said his first name (Vic), and I'm like "Oh, Vic Camp?" since I knew from Pinside and YouTube and he gave me a funny look and we laughed about it.

Beautiful machines and very fun to play. Uses quarters, nickels, and dimes in a sorted container instead of free play too and it adds a great touch to playing the machines although I personally wouldn't do it.

These machines are pristine. Sky-Line is a prototype (1 of 15) and has green doors instead of blue, a hand above the elevator on the glass, and a blue colored middle pop bumper cap, production games had a black colored one. High Hand is supposedly also a sample game but nobody is sure yet.

Snow Derby

What a fun game! It's getting the most play right now I have to admit. Dual spinners which aren't easy to hit, plus the progressive scoring..makes this one a real great game. You race around the track accumulating laps. The pop bumpers and kick outs light up and advance as you go, for ball 1, ball 2 etc. Ball 4 and 5 have lap bonuses that will decide the game. I'm a snowmobiler..what more could you want? An early version of Grand Prix?

DirtFlipper found this for me, and I'm very thankful for his efforts, and for Pinside!

There's certainly not much of one lately. But some live pretty close to sea level so that may have something to do with it. Haven't heard of too many basements in Florida either.

Very fun game! With a little more practice I think I could be a contender on it.

I'll have to ask. K&Q was torn apart for some restoration on the rails, etc., he told me about I'm unsure if he had it painted or not.

I rearranged the furniture a bit yesterday. I kind of like the way this wall turned out. We'll be lighting them up soon.

Looks really great. So you have a garage full in addition to this too? I lost track of where all of your machines are.

I nudge with the heels of my hands. All tilt bobs installed. Too tight for some it would seem..

And they wouldn't be so close together if I had a basement.

lol. It's like a war zone around here right now. Skyrockets and bombs in every direction. Glad I watered today.

Happy 4th fellow pinballers!

Enjoying this tonight especially among the other games. Went a little too far with the Magic Eraser + Alcohol a while back which kept me from wanting to even look at it but now I'm just embracing it. It also did manage to take off some touch-up put on by somebody else that looked like it had a lot of effort put in but not exactly on color choices on the heavy wear area in the center (my mistake is off to the right of that big spot, smaller thankfully) so I'm glad that's gone.

One of these days it'll get the restoration it deserves and I'll fix the playfield mistake. This is a fun game that progresses as you drain balls, I've never seen another one than mine in person though. Brought this one back from the grave (it was very dead) a few months ago, still have a little work to do but it's still chugging along like a champ. First machine with vari-target(s).

I know for sure that "Sky Line" is repainted. It was done by one of the very best in the business. I was there when the previous owner took delivery of the game after it was done.

Got a little rain overnight. No problem. I even managed to stay dry during Floyd, Irene, and Sandy. Floyd was really a battle though. Had a massive amount of rain from him.

I believe that picture is real, but truth be told,
I have later found out that it is a photo of a sinkhole in Guatemala,

Started working this weekend on my Jacks Open. This is an extremely nice original game with only 69k on the play meter. Minimal touchups on the cab needed, and just a good cleaning on the playfield. Virtually perfect backglass. I was lucky to find this one, courtesy of my friend Lee.

This is the playfield stripped, but before cleaning. It's going to be really nice when done.

Whatever fireworks they were lighting weren't being sold around here. But they did make them legal a couple years ago after a 30+ year ban. The ones at the stands are so bad now, they aren't worth buying. Closest place that sells the real deal is New Mexico or Tijuana.
It was one heck of a show last night though from all directions. No fires that I know of.

Went through New Mexico in February this year and stopped at a gas station with a large convenience store. They had a couple full isles of the fly in the air fireworks, mortars, etc at good prices and selection. Definitely the place to go for the awesome stuff.

I can't believe that the state of California lets anyone shoot off fireworks. You'd think anyone who has been the victim of a wild fire in that state (my family included in that) would scream at the very thought of it.
