Download Knock Out in text version.
Can then alter card to match Spot Bowler as it is the same really. Same year as well.

Thank you sir!
That should work.

Not sure if I shared this one yet. Saved this one from an uncertain future. Picked up from Dr. Dave. Right side of cabinet was quite trashed from deeply carved graffiti. Just a player, but pretty fun with the Atlantis layout/geometry. Ball return gate is a bit of a gimmick, but am enjoying it a lot.

Nice work on that playfield and cabinet. At first I wasn't sure what you were talking about until I saw the before pictures of the playfield.

I started a new thread on this game, but had to post here as well. Lucky Hand has joined the lineup of my small collection via trade (swapped my 2001 for it). Very excited to have one AAB in my collection!

I also recently added that Coke marquee sign -- using the right side for high scores and the left as a nostalgic menu of foods I love from my home state of Texas but can't get up here in the Pacific NW, haha!

That is a super nice playfield goldenboy! I would definitively do a full restore on that machine. What a nice score! Oh btw...where do I send the 4 dollars for the Brisket sammich?

Featuring an SS, of course

I like 4 square MUCH MUCH more, but astro is good just not great. I am kind of on the fence right know about keeping it. have a few people interested in it.
it does fit in a larger collection but if I only had a few it would have to go
I will move it out to the garage and put Neptune or HtD in it's spot

I picked this one up the other day from my buddy. It has been sitting for years in storage. I put it together and it fires right up and it wants to play. Obviously, there are bugs that need to be worked out. Needs to be shopped and cleaned. But in good shape. This was one of my top games that Ive wanted since day one. Finally got one thanks to my buddy Wade!

It isnt that bad. A little flaking in the Letters and the gun. Mostly faded in the cowboy. But I found a perfect one. So, Why not.

Quoted from hoov:

I prefer Astro to 4 Square.
Sam Harvey might state the reverse,
both are very good games.

#5867 3 years ago
Quoted from Drano:

Yup. eBay.
I've had an automated search set up on eBay for this title for a couple of years. Saw it pop up last week and placed a small bid just to ensure the ad didn't get prematurely pulled without explanation and to keep tabs on it.
No reserve but it still went for good money... but I don't mind. Even with the crappy USD/CAD exchange right now and the taxes I'll have to pay at the border, it's still worth it to be able to posses this rarity! I've only ever been able to play it at Clay's.
Really looking forward to the restoration. If anyone has a correct coin door they'd like to part with, let me know.

Congratulations on acquiring Spot Bowler. Even with the exchange rate, you scored a great deal. I can email the correct score card to you. Just send me your email in a private message.

My Spot Bowler was a mess when I bought it. The restoration was arduous, but well worth the effort.

Here's another North Jersey collectors collection who's avatar is DROP TARGET here on pinside. This guy grew up playing add a balls and has been relentlessly collecting 10+ years. All of the machines in his line up have hundreds of quality restoration hours performed by himself and all the games play excellent too. I always looking forward to hanging out with him or playing his fine collection.
Check it out....

Have you ever played Wild Life/Jungle/Jungle King, Vic? I own a beautiful Wild Life (2 player, Jungle is 4 respectively) and it was cool to read elsewhere that it was a wedgehead made for overseas, which it looks like he owns. Great game (with great art), you have to get the bonus all the way up (by hitting the rollovers, not always easy to hit!) to light the specials and it's difficult! Myself and others have yet to do it, but it's still fairly new in my collection. One of my favorites.

I've played Drop Targets Jungle King many times and like the game play. The captive pop bumper is a nice feature and reminds of my 1968 Williams (2 player) Lady Luck, which I think is a great player. I also like the 10 star rollovers that have to be adjusted so perfectly to get them to work with ease. There is really not much to dislike about the game. Glad you to hear about your love for the EM's. Keep up the great work!

"Jungle King" is the domestic add-a-ball wedgehead version. "Jungle Life" is the export one. "JK" is a lot of fun. It doesn't have the center spinner as do the multi-player versions, but it's one of the only single player games with a bonus ladder, and even double bonus. I used to play one on location many years ago in the dark corner of a bowling alley barroom.

Quoted from Vic_Camp:

Well, many don't care for the backglass artwork. Admittedly, it isn't the best, and doesn't feature the buxom Jane that the other two do.

Picked up a Bally 1972 Fireball today from Michael Shalhoub, unloaded, did an initial setup & had a few games. Dan is right this is a great player! Its distinguishing features are great alongside a Gottlieb collection.

I am really happy with the purchase-great backglass & pf & fully operational. A few touch-ups needed on the cabinet but that will be little problem.

Looking good, Odin. What's your score to beat on Wagon Train? Mine is set at 1100 and it's a rare occurrence I get over that. It's getting the most play over here now.

Thanks! Yep, love me some Wagon Train. On the backglass it says 1000 is the score to beat, but I need to change that to 2000 now.

Bally Fireball came with dark grey legs. You might have a better chance of finding where they hid Jimmy Hoffa then finding original legs.

I understand that Skil Pool is similar to King Pin, so if you do make good on sending that to Hoov, etc. you still have that type of RWH game.

#5894 3 years ago
Quoted from stashyboy:

True. But it looks like it is going to Ken instead. And this will probably be arriving from England in the next few days.

How is that? You own a Williams and you have your backglasses from the other side of the world.

That glass looks so good it looks weird! I have honestly never seen a good one, so finally seeing a good one is strange!

#5897 3 years ago

Didn't first notice the few flaws it has, but they're relatively minor. C'mon Shay! Make this glass!!!

#5898 3 years ago

I like the comical artwork on the Skill Pool - kind of like the Dodge City you have. Do you own any other games with comical artwork?

#5899 3 years ago
Quoted from jrpinball:

It's plexi! Which is why it looks a little different than others , but also why I'm not worried that it will break in transit.

Quoted from hoov:

Do you own any other games with comical artwork?

They are pretty much all comical.

#5900 3 years ago

That explains why it's in such great shape. Agree with JR, every one I've seen have major issues.
