Quoted from TheShameGovernor:

The game is addicting as hell, and the art is incredibly charming.

Yeah it is^,Melody is the add-a -ball model of that.
Nice condition.

Quoted from GreyScale:Do 3 of the saucers kick out to the right?

3 from left to right, last one on right kicks down. http://www.ipdb.org/showpic.pl?id=2160&picno=41795

Quoted from TheShameGovernor:

Finally something to contribute! Been looking for a wedgehead to add to the lineup, and I just picked up a Gottlieb Sing Along. Backglass is blown, but the playfield cleaned up real nice. I'm still an EM newbie, so I wanted a working single player table that I could learn on as issues arise. The play counter says 4700 plays which doesn't seem like a lot to me for a 46 year old machine considering I've put about 30 games on it already.
The game is addicting as hell, and the art is incredibly charming. I'm sure I'll have some questions later.

Nice score ShameGov

#503 10 years ago

Hey ShameGov!, I'm pretty close to you and would love to help out if you need some tech advice. I have a couple wedgeheads and love them! Congrats on the game. Hope to hear from you soon!

Absolutely! Can you help me hit that upper right "3" ? Arrgh.. So close!

Seriously thank you though. If anything, my short time in this hobby has taught me two things:

- there is no shortage of things that will break on your machine, and..
- there is no shortage of amazing people that will help you fix them.

My first EM. 1976 Volley. Original PF.
BG is not eye candy but the gameplay is a blast.

I have both volley and sing along. they are some of my favorites.
your sing along looks to have very little wear around the kickout holes, very rare. your counter might be correct every one with 80k or more I have seen had some wear around the holes

#507 10 years ago

I want a Volley, there was one a couple hours away a month or two ago and I didn't jump on it quick enough. By the time I did the seller decided to keep it.

#508 10 years ago

Volley, By Golly... It's a player! If you are in Colorado, hit me up and we can play a game or 17.

#509 10 years ago

Too bad I was in Colorado last week.

#510 10 years ago

No worries Gov. You just let me know when you are in the square state and we'll have a brew or two in the hole.

Also! The Dory Hill annual pinball event is coming up the weekend after Labor day. This is the most unique and righteous pinball event at altitude. Check it out here:

Anyone here have a Four Million B.C.? I read this entire thread, but didn't see one. If I missed it, please repost!

beautiful Gemini!!! lucky boy!

regards, Ron

#521 10 years ago

I think Gemini is in the top 10 art packages gottlieb did for the em era machines. the late 70's had some real nice machines but gotttlieb started to die a slow death just about the same time because they did not get into the SS machines fast enough.
Mike you have a real nice example, 10x better than the one just sold.

This is a beautiful one player game, with a clearcoated playfield that plays fast and fun.

The most infamous part of this backglass, though, are the passengers falling out of the plane!

D.B. Cooper?

I'd like to think so, but there is a trail of passengers. I still like the lady in pink myself, but the reason I picked this up is how FUN it plays! That spinner right in the middle of the playfield is the money shot!

#531 10 years ago

Picked up this little gem yesterday.

Big thanks to pinsider Richthofen for the hookup!

Well I got a Target Alpha with about 6.500 plays. After some cleaning, polishing and tumbling... look

No touch ups were needed... (but I have to still solve one or two technical issues...)

https://www.icloud.com/photostream/de-de/#A15oqs3qm6JV3

By the way... are also lots EMs in the US without a chime unit? It is really a pain to get the units here in Germany, since the german distributor wanted them to be delivered without chime units (at least lots of them).

just to share with you this strange game i had this morning, may be it was my lucky day, and i missed the opportunity to play loto...

i than think to play 1 and only 1 game on my Captain Fantastic, as i have to go to work...

than, i beat our home highscore, with a perfect score of 170.000 pts
my son is always stunned when we got scores with 3 "0", but now i got 4 !!! takes a picture he said
cause not only this, but as the "100.000" points are set at the top of the board, it remain 70.000, and if we erase my son 3 "0", than we got the ... match lotery, yes 70 !

is this was a sign !? i'll never know...

Just saved a 1951 Bank A Ball from a hot Georgia attic. However, can't really say saved. All but one of the plastics look as though they've been through a nuclear hurricane. It is crazy that one is still in decent shape. PF has some planking, loose inserts. BG is shot, half of it has flaked right off. Haven't had a chance to plug it in yet. Right side rail looks as though it was literally ripped off. Going to look at it but if someone needs parts from one they may be available soon.

#538 10 years ago

I'm getting the itch again! On the prowl for another EM. Thanks Rat!

#539 10 years ago

I am getting a Gottlieb Spirit of 76 soon. Just agreed to the price today and they agreed to the wait of 4-8 weeks of waiting for the funds.(insurance settlement) The pin looks very cherry from the pictures I looked at.

#540 10 years ago

Welcome back Rat!, was wondering where you were.

Boilerman:

Back on Page 8, you posted a picture (which I attached). What is the name of this pin?

I am on a near impossible quest. Back in the 1970's, I had a pin that was some kind of card game. It was surely produced either in the very late 1968's or early 1970's. I cannot remember the name of it for the life of me! I would love to find that pin again.

I know it is not Joker Poker (but is VERY much like it), and unsure if it is Queen of Diamonds or what. I thought it had the word "Lucky" in it, but nor sure.

Is there a way I could see or get a list of all the EM pins that were card games, so I could go through them and see if memory would tell me what it is?

Anyone wishing to help me, I would appreciate it. I remember it had a LOT OF DROP TARGETS! And I THINK a set in the middle of the pin but can't remember if it revolved or not.

Post here, or send it PM to mgiorgio (at) insightbb (dot) com.

Thanks,
Mike in Kentucky

Lucky Hand is also a great card theme from the 70s.

it should be in this list

I'm sure I speak for many here when I say how great it is to see someone take on a project(s) like that Boilerman! There are only so many classic EMs out there, keeping a few from the dumpster is such a great feeling! Not sure if any one has ever reproduced the Atlantis glass, but knowing how nice your Eldo turned out, it will undoubtedly be worth finding. Pics of the King Pin? (assume Gottlieb version?) Very inspiring!

You give new meaning to the phrase fire sale. You should change your name from boilerman to fireman.
Good to see you saving them from the dumpster.
