Wow, that's one I've never seen. Anyone here in the US own one?

#57 8 years ago

Love that Caravelle, have NEVER seen one anywhere; fantastic BG!!

#58 8 years ago
Quoted from AlexSMendes:

All right!!
That brazilian Buccanner is actually a clone of 2 different Gottlieb's machines, merged into 1.
If you look carefully, the overall art is just like the original Buccaneer, but the playfield layout is exactly the same as Jungle Queen.
This rare EM was made by a brazilian manufacturer called J.Esteban.

Contact IPDB. This model is not actually included in the database

Dono, the colors are much brighter in reality, I don't know why but when I upload a picture the colors in the pic change. Let me try again...

Guess I'm getting the EM virus!

I'm having a blast seeing these beautiful machines!

I'd also love to see the PF's!

Yeah, will do! But, unfortunately, I think I won't take this machine home!

That Jigsaw backglass is nice.

Quoted from bigdaddy1:

I have now a 1967 Gottlieb KING OF DIAMONDS and a 1966 Gottlieb CENTRAL PARK. Both machines are being fully restored. I bought the CENTRAL PARK backglass from a seller located in France: it is the original version silkscreened on plexiglass.

Makes you wonder, who sat in a marketing meeting 40 years ago and said:

MARKETING GUY: "I got it, boss! We'll do a theme called 'Black Reed' with a court jester and two bizarrely dressed women on it! It will be great!"

BOSS: "Jensen, I like how you think! Make it happen!"

FWIW, the title is actually "Black & Reed", and those are card characters on the backglass. Not sure if the 'Reed' was meant to be 'Red' though (which would make more sense for cards). So looks like Queen and Jokers perhaps.

Very well pointed!
