Ordered in a few inserts from Pinball Resource. I have replaced inserts that were loose and already popping out, but have never used these new ones.
It looks like they have a letter stamped on them for some crazy reason. Just sand this off?
Also what type of glue do you guys use?
Any tips for popping out the inserts that are still glued in tight?
What process do you like to use to put the new ones in level?
Sorry for all the questions. Tried doing a search on Inserts but most threads were for newer style games.

    Thanks guys. That is perfect.
Just what I needed to know.
Hopefully now when someone searches a EM insert thread this will come up.

    Quoted from schudel5:

Not sure what you mean by a letter stamped on each one. Do you have a picture. Are these used inserts that came off a game or were they made for game and never used? I would think new insert would be blank.
I usually heat up the old inserts pretty good with a hair dryer and use a nut driver and tack hammer to tap them out. To put them in I use Gorilla wood glue. Moisten the playfield wood, where the insert will go, with some water and then put some Gorilla glue on the wood and the edge of the insert. Gorilla glue is activated with water for bonding. Once installed, I used a plastic block to level with the playfield. Carefully wipe away any excess glue. After 10 minutes check the insert for level and adjust if necessary.

All new inserts that come from PBR have a letter stamped in the center of them. I know it sounds crazy, but it is the way they are. The newer starburst inserts are blank but the older style color ones all have a large letter on them.
