I am on the fence about selling my Gottlieb EM Cleopatra. I don't really play it but it is in really nice shape and just find it nice to look at. It plays good and I have stripped the playfield, Done touch up's and clear coated. Put all new parts on the playfield including drop targets, Plastic set, Plastic posts, Roll over guides, Rubbers, Bulbs, Everything is new. The backglass is mint and the cabinet is nice. All metal polished etc etc. I would appreciate some feedback on what a fair price to sell would be. Thanks.

Any thoughts

$1100-$1400?

I sold a really nice one (though not as nice as yours) like 8 years ago, fully working for $700. I think Tomahawkjim's pricing is just about right.

Other than Hulk, Genie, and Close Encounters EM, I never really see System 1's or their EM counterparts move when the price tag is over $1k. And that's a shame considering all the time, effort, and parts (and usually a new MPU) that you usually have to put into these games.

$800 I think it would sell in a week or two, 1000 may sell but sit for awhile til the right buyer comes around IMO but that cabinet damage on the right side might stall on a 1k sale.

Yeah, I'm going with "likely" sub 1k also.....if it wasn't touched up and cleared. With that? Probably over 1k. It would be worth it to me. Friend of mine has an EM Cleo but it's not cleared, VERY fast game, very fun game for competition.

I can get electronic Cleo projects for 300-500 all day long in driving range of me it seems, and working ones around 800. I haven't ever seen a big price premium on EM versions of this game, and EM is more of a PITA to get up and running than electronics, IMO.

Interesting data points. Any thoughts on the same question, for a restored Cleo SS?

Wow... that seems really cheap for a restored/cleared EM Cleopatra.

The EM versions of two other System 1 games (Sinbad and especially Joker Poker) go for $$$... yet the gameplay is compromised. No x3 x4 x5 multipliers, no resetting drop targets, etc. Which, to me, makes the SS versions preferable. And I'm a huge EM-guy!

However, with Cleopatra, the gameplay between the SS/EM versions is the same... so in my opinion the EM is the one to own. They don't seem all that common either. And, of the three, Cleopatra had the fewest made in terms of total combined production. So it seems backwards to me that Cleopatra EM's are still relatively cheap versus the other two.
