Anyone do a repair around the display. The previous owner used masking tape which was cracking. I removed it and tried spray paint but the paint bleed through and it looks like crap. I Removed the paint and thinking that making a cardboard grid and placing it behind the glass would be better. Any input would be great.

I cut one up with glossy photo paper and attached it to the back of the glass. Lesson learned on trying to spray paint it.
