To me the Elvira brand ticks all the boxes as a "cool" pinball theme. They're just great looking pinballs to me that are a blast to play, but not deep. I don't always want a deep game, in fact I usually don't. Would I like one of her pins in my collection? Yes. Would I want either of the current two in a small collection? Probably not. Although I was aware of her show back in the day, I don't think I ever watched it.
For the record I've noticed a lot of females in my circle of pinball enthusiasts seem to really love Scared Stiff, including my wife. Go figure.
