I think its a generational thing. I was born in the late 80's and I don't understand why people love Elvira at all. It must be a childhood thing like why I love Mario and sonic.... To each his own I guess right?

Quoted from wayout440:

You were born just wayyyyyy too late. For us who were in our twentysomethings, the eighties were the best time of our lives, and the world was ours!

Yeah I totally agree with you. As someone in their late 20's who collects pinball machines, arcade games, retro gaming memorabilia, and owns a 70's vw bus I would say that I was born at the wrong time. Most of the music I gravitate towards was from the late 70's- 80's.

Quoted from wayout440:

Not only that, but back in the eighties a teen could work an entry level job, buy a beater car for less than a grand, get free drivers ed in school, and then get some cheap insurance. All you really needed was to get a few bucks to get gas in the tank, some coat hangers to tie up the exhaust and away you went. Now it's ridiculously expensive *and* they need to use the money for the smartphones.
but I digress...Back to your regularly scheduled Elvira:

I was a teen in the early 2000's (pre smart phone) and I found that it was the same for me. All of my friends worked crappy jobs and bought beater cars. It was fun, and when you wanted to meet up you made plans in advance and stuck to them.
