Quoted from Tweety:So a discussion about a pin is negative? Interesting.
This is not a discussion thread. Go to one of the other Elvira threads for that. This is a club thread for owners and fans of the game.
All other discussion in this thread is off topic. Keep this thread on topic gang, ejections will issue otherwise. There are other Elvira threads, one with thousands of posts...go to that one with negativity and non-owner and non-fan issues. Thank you.
Checking in on is game. How’s the code coming along? With Lyman in charge I’m sure it will be epic at the end of the day.
Quoted from Pinstein:Ive owned at least 6 NIB games and none of them have ever had the code service that this game is getting. By far the most fun I have had with a new game getting frequent and exciting updates. Thank you LS!!!
Yep, Lyman is the man. Every game he takes lead on ends up being a masterpiece. My wife and I have decided on getting an Elvira 3 soon(ish), primarily due to Lyman being the lead coder.
Not sure when we will take the plunge, just depends on if we can find a nicely priced used one. I hear it’s scheduled to go back on the line in August at Stern, though I’m guessing the production schedule may get mixed up a bit.
Quoted from tktlwyr:This is my first Elvira game (picked up Monday) but I have enough time on all of them to know that EHoH is by far the best.
The code, the art, the light show and the play are all top notch. There are a few things in the code I’d personally like to see enhanced slightly but, overall, this game is the total package with Lyman still doing his thing.
Pinball has evolved over the last twenty five years. The games of today have better code, better lights, better sound, better displays... Classics are always going to be the same great game they always were, but these new machines are where the innovation occurs. E3 is clearly the best of the three Elvira games, and it’s not close.
Quoted from Wakky:Where did you hear that regarding August ? Rumour or actual fact ...we would love to know !
I’m sure their build order is always subject to change based on many factors (such as demand)...and who knows the build order now given the shutdown. If you have a strong relationship with some distributors you’ll find many frequently know what the build order plan is for some period into the future...since they are committing to product orders in advance.
Quoted from ultimategameroom:Was it in stock at all the distro’s you called ,if you called more than one?
It’s out of stock at many places at the moment, but there are some places you can still get one. I hear it is going back on the line in August.
I noticed that Flipper Fidelity does not list EHOH as being compatible with their kits on their website. Which speaker kit works with an Elvira Premium? I’m guessing it was just omitted and that one of them in fact is compatible?
Quoted from UnholySpectacle:News to me as I have a FF kit in my EHOH.
Great! Which one is it?
Quoted from PinStalker:At some point I bet they move to a direct to consumer model and eliminate the distro's and dealers. Why do they even need them now? The games are often drop-shipped direct from Stern to the customer. Distro/Dealers were a convenient dumping ground for product when it didn't move, but that isn't needed anymore. The small makers have shown you can sell out your entire run in a couple hours, and then you can move on to the next title (which is what Stern wants). Funny how Stern wants to be like the little guys, and the little guys want to be like Stern.
The distributors are a very cheap sales force. Stern will never get rid of them…companies rarely cut down on their sales force even in great times like Stern is enjoying now. It is too difficult to build them back up when you need them. The last thing Stern wants is for their former sales force to be working exclusively for Stern’s competitors selling against them…they’d be getting slammed on Zach’s podcast every week rather booster from it.
Besides, if Stern cut out their distribution network Stern would cease having a presence at most pinball shows. It’s not Stern that is supporting the shows, it is their local distributors.
Quoted from EightBitLife:here's pictures of my Elivra House Of Horrors Signature Edition
I didn’t realize those didn’t come with insider connect…or is it on the coin door or something?
Did Stern ever get the inside connect kit made for the Elvira Premiums? I’m wondering if I need to figure out how to rig one if not.
Quoted from MaxIsDead:I installed their regular premium kit in mine no issues. I think the issue on the LE and SE is something on the right side, a signed card or something? IDK. But otherwise on the premium no issues.
Perfect. I will hunt down a regular premium kit and be off to the races. Thank you!
