So I have to ask... those of you that have the game in your possession, is there *any* blistering around the posts? I believe someone stated there was no artwork around the posts.

Initial code release 0.83. Did anyone notice it's 6.2 GB in size? That's enormous!

By comparison -
Munsters LE - 1.8 GB.
DP LE - 2.2 GB
B66 LE - 3.8 GB
SW LE - 4.0 GB

There is going to be TONS of content in EHOH!

I'll be modifying the initial post in this thread with LE numbers that people have either posted publicly or have gleaned from pictures they have posted. If you're not currently listed and would like to be, just shoot me a PM and I'll add you to the list.

I'd also like to start tagging key posts in this thread that will have useful troubleshooting information for current and future owners, like the node error issue of booting up the game with the coin door open. You can nominate a post as a key post by hitting the tag icon on the lower left of the post. The Pinside editors will take it from there.

- The starting house haunt was not being initialized/reset properly in
all cases. This has been corrected.
- Removed the adjustment for photo shoot. This adjustment will be reset
to NO after update.
- Improved ramp/diverter handling.
- Fixed background lamp effect for house haunts so the cellar lamp shows
correctly when the cellar is lit.
- Added moving super jackpot for Wild Women Multiball.
- Added a score countdown (hurry-up) for shooting ramp shots during
Trailer Trash. When Trailer Trash starts, the house ramp shot is worth
1/2 of the points scored during the last haunt. The first ramp shot
increases this value to 3/4 and starts counting the value down. The
second ramp shot increases this value to 100% and starts counting the
value down.
- Added some sounds to bonus.
- Reorganized priorities so Gargoyles Gone Wild is higher than Happy Hour
and Drive Me Crazy.
- Add additional adjustments to adjustment menu.
- Game over music was not being quieted after a period of time at the end
of a game. This has been corrected.
- Added and implemented virtual lock adjustments.
- Added and implemented game over unlock of garage balls locked and trunk
balls locked.

Playfield and gameplay is identical on all models.

I bought the LE based on the cabinet artwork alone. The powder coated rails, mirrored backglass, HD glass, shaker, upgraded audio system and inner side art made the decision a no brainer since those were things I'd add anyway.

Here's an interesting article with a rare peek inside The Witch's House / Spadena House in Beverly Hills. Dennis had mentioned that this was one of the initial inspirations for the game.

The correlation is correct. You have serial number 297662 according to the box, which is the correct SN for 335.

I don't think anyone is insulting you or the artist. Just pointing out that the way the winked eye was drawn looks incorrect. It looks like the eye has closed from the bottom up. When a person winks, the top eyelid comes down and the eyelashes point downward.

I liked the overall drawing, it just needs a tweak to make it look more natural.

You downloaded AND installed the full code by mistake? I understand possibly downloading the wrong code.

But then you need to copy it to a USB drive. You didn't notice the file was named "stranger_things...spk.zip" and not "elvira3...spk.zip". That's a little hard to believe.

Doesn't really matter as long as you avoided any damage to your game.

New in .94

Added a rule for ATTIC ATTACK MULTIBALL. This is based on the movie LADY FRANKENSTEIN. There are two parts. The second part requires the player to collect all 4 sides of the spinning turret.

Here are the rules for Attic Attack as of 0.94.

For Attic Attack, there are two parts:
Part 1:
To bring the monster to life, you make 5 jackpot shots and then the Super Jackpot on the center ramp. (This shows the scene from Lady Frankensten of the monster destroying the Doctor.)
Part 2:
Monster on a rampage,
a) All jackpots lit, flashing. Make 1 jackpot shot and the center ramp jackpot will light up flashing and all other jackpot shots will turn solid; the turret will start to spin continuously.
b) You can continue to shoot jackpots on the shots or you can shoot the center ramp for super jackpot.
c) If you shoot the center ramp for super jackpot, the game will remember which side the turret was on (Elvira, Eyeball, Bats, Spider) when the shot was made and that "side" will not be available next time. You will have to time the shot for the super jackpot next time to coincide with a side of the turret you have not made yet. (This is Lady Frankenstein and Thomas destroying the monster.)
d) Go to a) until all sides of the turret have been made unavailable.
e) Left loop and right loop are lit for "bonus", this is the monster being defeated and the villagers setting fire to the castle.

Each new a) requires one additional shot, and c) the super jackpot now has a variety of video instead of the same scene of Thomas clubbing the monster to death.

Loaded the new update and was able to see and hear a few of the changes. It's little things like added speech for the Match that are really adding polish to this game.

I did notice that the turret was no longer spinning during House Party. Anyone else notice this?

I was also torn on if it would mesh. Won't know until I put it on. When I first saw pics of the shooter I was like "huh?" until I realized it was the clown in Drive Me Crazy.

Why does Stern have to send a complete shooter assembly? I already have the housing, spring, washers, e-clip and rubber tip. How about knocking $20 off the price and just send the shooter rod?

I had to swap everything anyway since I had my housing powdercoated to match.

Just saw Katrina and what I'm assuming was the new zombie dead head (I won't spoil the actual name reveal, it's quite funny!)

Looking forward to discovering all the new stuff over the next few days.

If Lyman continues to spoil us with these epic .01 version updates, I can't imagine where this game is going to end up when he finally hits version 1.00!

It's not the final wizard mode but something along the way. I believe Directors Cut may be the wizard mode. I've gotten Gappa Angry many times but have only started Directors Cut once.

It's hard to predict what may still be planned. Only Lyman truly knows where it's all going to end up.

Had an epic game yesterday (epic for me anyway). 4x playfield running for most of NOTLD, 75% Trailer Trash collected (I didn't want to risk the second ramp shot) and continued with 4x into House Party.

Only got to Dance Fever during Gappa Angry but still managed a decent score. All this and I still only got to 7 haunts in the game!

This release has also made me painfully aware that my VUK needs adjustment. Will work on that soon.

One code tweak I would like to ask for if possible. I had the right outlane lit for The Dead Return. Started Zombie multiball and while its ball save was still running, I lost a ball out the right outlane. It played the Ball Saved animation for the outlane and then turned it off. Could the running multiball ball saver override the outlane ball save and not use/turn it off during that time?

I LOVE THIS GAME!

Apparently it's not a bug. According to Lyman, this is what is happening in that scenario -

'The way "The Dead Return" is currently designed to work is that if you have it lit during multiball and the ball drains down the right outlane while the multiball ball saver is running, then I add more time to the multiball ball saver and turn off "The Dead Return".'

He may add an adjustment at some point to modify the default behavior of the above.

Is the final wizard mode finished? I'm not even sure what it is since I've only ever gotten through all the haunts once.

Lyman already addressed all of the minor tweaks people suggested from .96 in .97 so I can only dream what he's still got planned. Loving the game even more with every new code release!

I noticed it won't use the new score color until you reboot the machine.

I also had my score colors change mid-game to white and stay that way. It was early on in one game and I haven't been able to reproduce it yet.

Trailer Trash seemed to disappear when I started the next haunt. I had just completed the first haunt, Teenagers From Outer Space, and the house was lit to start Trailer Trash. When I shot the house, it started the next haunt and Trailer trash went away.

Reflash the card with Etcher and the .99 image if you have a card reader. Once your game is back up and running, you can try the update again.

Or wait until they update the image page to 1.0.

I finally broke the 1 Billion barrier today and saw things I had never seen before.

Finished three Dead Heads so I got to battle the boss Dead Head. I won't spoil it for those who haven't seen him yet. Very fitting to say the least.

They Came From Beyond Space was a lot of fun and had a great intro sequence. The intro took me off guard as I wasn't expecting it.

Was one shot away from completing Gappa Angry so I had to settle for Scream Test, which was new for me to play. The topper gets quite a workout during this mode for anyone wondering about topper integration.

I still haven't played Run For Your Life, Phone A Fiend or sold the house yet. Looking forward to getting there someday.

IMO installing the playfield protector is a great move.

Prior to installation I cut a sliver out of my protector right behind the house when I installed it so I wouldn't have to remove the entire house. Greatly simplifies the process.

I highly recommend a protector for a new game.

My VUK has never worked 100% from day 1. I tried everything, moving it as per the Stern recommendation, cupping the end of the kicker plunger, adjusting the position of the coil, etc. NOTHING would make it work 100%.

But Medisinyl and sirlonzelot brought up something in another thread that I had never thought of. The ball was hitting the lower teeth on the Gargoyle mod on @sirlonzelot's VUK. Using @Medisinyl's recommendation he fixed this by adjusting the TOP of the VUK.

In changing my coffin and gargoyle mod this weekend, I bent the top of the VUK so it was just under the inside top of the gargoyle mouth. And now my VUK shoots perfectly to the 36-24-36 targets EVERY time!

Here's a measurement I took for anyone interested.

And while I'm at it, some people have PM'd me asking how I adjusted the flap. I used an an adjustable end wrench wrapped in a microfiber cloth. Tighten the wrench firmly then just lift the wrench. Again, it was only a *very* slight adjustment that was needed but it made a world of difference.

It sounds like you have a switch/opto out of adjustment.

I believe others have had a similar problem caused by an opto behind the house. Go into switch test to see if you see any switches that are pulsing, especially when you cause a vibration near the house.

Tim was kind enough to make a custom set for me slightly larger than normal so I could mount them flat with magnetic tape and cover the card slots. He had the great idea of adding a color changing border to the instruction card and he added a muted purple border to the Free Play card.

Holy hell! I go away from Pinside for ONE DAY and *this* happens!

I'm personally glad that EHOH is worthy of another limited run. Too rich for my blood but this version has an interesting look. The one gripe I do have is they changed the color of Elvira's couch on the cabinet sides to purple and any true Elvira fan can tell you it's supposed to be red. I understand why they did it but it's just plain wrong.

I had the opportunity to buy an SLE when they first came out and opted for the LE as I didn't see 5K of added value in the SLE. I certainly don't see 15K+ of added value in the 40LE.

I couldn't help but notice in that video the MAJOR color differences versus what is shown in the promo pic. The promo pic shows a much lighter purple powdercoat and backbox trim. That Expo purple looks almost black. Personally I think the promo colors look much better than that Expo game.

Funny story about that topper. She has it because of me!

Way back when her first slot machine came out, I was fortunate enough to be in contact with Cassandra. I was trying to get one of those toppers so I asked her if she could get one from IGT as I'd be interested in buying one. She said "You know, I never thought to ask." Well, she asked and IGT sent her two of them on these really nice wooden display bases.

I ended up buying one from her, which I still have, and she kept the other one which is now being auctioned.

BTW, buyer's premium is 25%. Another 3% if online. Sales tax on top of that if picked up or shipped in California. That's almost a whopping 38%!

If you include the bottom arch rock base, yes, it's that tall (that might also include the candle assembly too).

Elvira on the chair is a separate piece that can be removed from the topper assembly. That's what I did so I could place it on top of my SS.

Did anyone else notice that the serial numbers on the new run of games end in "C" (at least on the box)? Looks like the 40th LE had this designation as well.

I'm guessing they're using that to signify it's a version that comes with Insider Connected maybe?

My VUK is dialed in and always hits the center target. So I need to time my shot for when the 24 target is lit.

If you miss the first shot, the next time you shoot into the crypt it will automatically kill the deadhead. That's the default behavior.

I have both sides installed in my LE, which didn't have IC from the factory. I added IC to the coin door using the Stern kit.

I have noticed a few weird things happening after I upgraded to 1.07.

Was playing Wild Women multiball and at one point the game Tilted out of the blue as one of the balls went out the right outlane. You'd *think* that could happen but I have my tilt disconnected and have NEVER seen the Tilt animation before.

Sometimes Elvira will be saying something and another callout will get cued and it will play over the currently playing clip. So there are two voice clips of Elvira saying something different at the same time. Just ruins the overall polished feel of the game. This NEVER happened in 1.06.

I like the Gargoyle animations, haven't seen Pew Pew yet. Hoping these small issues get worked out in the next release.
