I'm not a fan of the big 40th Anniversary logo on the BG and not sure about the colour(color) of this $30K edition. I would like to see this in person but the original LE/SE with its whole package just seems more Elvira theme appropriate to me. I expect that 199 otherwise will largely disagree.

I just hope building this boondoggle will unlock the backordered Premiums sooner. My order with my distro needs to get here sooner.

I mean, only making 199 playfields seems dumb when they could make 500.

JJP got away with the Ruby Red edition of WoZ after Emerald City was supposed to be the WoZ LE.
EHoH LE40 is Stern's Rudy Red. If all 199 sell out maybe Stern will make a Yellow Brick Road equivalent.

I personally like my red powder coated LE just fine (and think it fits the theme better than the purple).
Dennis Nordman is with American now and Lyman Sheats is with CGC. Will LE40 still have their signatures?

Then that's another reason to prefer my red powder coated LE. And frankly, the red side rails look good representing dripping blood, but the dripping purple side rails make no sense to me.

Personally I prefer the signatures over the IC QR reader. Don’t see a need to be plugged into the world of Stern.

Uggggh, I truly do appreciate what Stern does, but that QR shit is beyond silly. There is absolutely no reason to require that eyesore on the apron, ON ANY GAME. I utterly DETEST many of the business practices of JJP, and hate giving them credit, but what is wrong with doing what they did where all I need to do is buy a 17 dollar wifi dongle, plug it in, and scan the QR code on the game screen?

The scorbit integration on my Dialed in is FANTASTIC. Huge swing and a miss on adding that monstrosity, who the hell wants that on their game?

I'm sure there will be 3rd party shooter rods that look even better than Stern's. Modders gonna mod and Stern can't trademark a jeweled dagger. Just gotta make the mod a hair different than Stern's.

I still wouldn’t swop my Mando for it, just my opinion but having had almost 40 pins in 3 years Mando is the best pin I’ve had / played

I was told by my distro that he is not allowed to post a price of any kind on the website or in store or he is in violation of some agreement he has with Stern. I believe it. He would only tell me that the price is probably going to be in the range of the Beatles Diamond Edition, which told me $20K+.

To be fair, I haven’t played Elvira HOH, but I want one, I should have said that at the moment I wouldn’t swop Mando for it, but hopefully I will get one soon and have both, then I can see how I feel about them side by side

I don't see more than 1k of added value. I coud maybe see doing a 25th or 50th anniversary but 40th anniversary?... lol.

This is just a big cash grab by Stern. It wouldn't be quite as bad if not for the fact there are already a line of people, many with cash deposits for premiums, already waiting in libe and being put off until middle of next year.

So the only space I have where I can put a pinball is in the living room, and unfortunately, it's right next to 2 windows. My wife isn't too keen on the idea of closing those blinds all day, so my compromise is to make sure the machine is covered and protected from the UV when we aren't playing it. Sucks, but it's better than letting the artwork get ruined. At any rate, I'm wondering what you guys do to cover these things. I know I can get an actual pinball machine cover, but I think it would be cooler if I could get an Elvira cover specifically, since I can't have the machine looking all pretty and doing it's thing with the attract mode all the time.

I had the black covers from Marco for my stern’s when they were in sunlight. Not the easiest to remove but they did the job

Yeah I’m ashamed I let it bother me so much. I think what got me the most was how long folks have been waiting on premiums while they make announcements for new stuff.

any information on tweaking the gargoyle leapers? the one in the right side of the house doesn't jump as well as the other 3.

Pull it up and lightly wax it. Does not take much. Do not oil it! If it won't fall freely, may need to bend slightly.

You also can loosen the screw on the the metal piece the gargoyle rod goes through and adjust it side to side slightly I believe. This in addition to waxing the rod will help make those fuckers jump!

It's incredible because of the programming, artistry, sound and game design. Dennis, Lyman, Greg and Jeremy all did a great job on this game. Oh, and who can forget Elvira of course!

Mine have skewed sideways with ball hits since day one. I have tried everything to tighten them down and adjust them but at best I can typically only ever get 3 of the 4 to register a ball hit for the gargoyle switches and that 3 of 4 seems to change. I don't know why they wouldn't have used a round rod like in SS instead of a flat bar (4 edges) in a two stacked slots. Bizarre.

You know what would have been amazing? Dressing up the playfield with a detailed house mold, the ramps that were pulled, detailed sculpts for the plastic covers, etc.
