Not really. At first glance I had the same thought. However, now that Stern jumped the price on these $500, your looking at least 8k+ for it NIB. Add the 1k topper and probably 1k worth of mods, I don't think its as out of line as it appears. Its likely close to his total cost, plus a small premium for the "I want it now" folks.

We had a signature edition in for a repair. Played 1 game didnt like it. Played a few more than several more and it's one of the top 20 games I've played. Would like to find a premium someday.

Well the op is asking what he paid for the topper at 1K. You can not buy one now and resale prices for the active Stern toppers (Munsters, GB, BK3) have been real high so that seems very fair. This game with far less mods have been going in the mid to hi 8k range. So who knows. The Market will speak.
