Quoted from CrazyLevi:

It's funny to me that people say this.
Seems to me Stern customers tend to be extremely satisfied. They keep buying Stern pinball machines and seem to be happy when they do. The 199 people who bought this 40th edition game are likely very satisfied. Or else why did they buy it?!

Folks want things just right, just this way or that. I want new games, but I also just want my backordered game. Everyone also wants instant gratification! How are they doing x when I want y!?!?! y makes a ton more sense than x!!! Come on Stern!

I don't get why there are such strong opinions of these super high priced pins that most aren't in the market for anyways? Why does it need a topper? Why do you care that it wasn't included on a machine you weren't going to buy anyways?

People are now advocating for the very buyers that they also claim are ruining the hobby by buying at the super high end price range. I don't get it...

Quoted from docquest:

If there are no code differences between the versions, why does Stern bother with having a different download link for each version of the game (premium, LE, and SLE)? There doesn't appear to be a download link for the 40th version yet.

I bet they do that just to make sure folks find the file for their machines. Expecting everyone to know the LE and Premium (or SE, SLE, etc) use the same file might be tough.

Quoted from amaj:

After about 100 plays I'm realizing that my trunk isn't working as intended - balls are getting stuck in it, and it's 50/50 as to whether or not the ball search will find it and kick it out without locking it, or trapping my ball for long enough to just end my game. Either way, I haven't experienced a fully functional game yet.
I've scoured the Owner's Club thread and have seen that I'm not the only one with this issue, so I'm wondering if any other 40th owners are having this problem, and if there's some kind of universally accepted fix I can implement or if I need to do something that's unique to how my specific trunk isn't working.

The playfields are all the same regardless of premium/le/se/40. The owners thread discussion would be relevant to your machine as well. Would you say its a mechanical issue with the ball not moving into position or a switch type issue with the ball not being recognized once its there?
