Gotcha...Nice!
Man this machine looks even better after the news of Lyman. What a nice presentation of a greatly coded game by one of the best to do it. RIP!

No kidding. It's hard to imagine ever letting this go, especially knowing that he's never going to be able to put his touch of magic on another game again. This was the last to get that special Lyman treatment.

They originate from Matt at Back Alley Creations. Cointaker is one of the authorized sellers. I bet if folks reach out to Matt he would make them in matching purple.

They are on the docket to be done in purple I believe… just a matter of time

We will be producing units to order to get started. They will be $225 each

Does the PinJak have an adapter for the top of the jack so it can be used underneath the middle of the game to lift it off the floor?
Quoted from jfh:Does the PinJak have an adapter for the top of the jack so it can be used underneath the middle of the game to lift it off the floor?
No, it is intended to be used from the backside only, NOT the middle!
Good question though.

I saw this on The Pinball Loft’s YT channel about a year ago. A terrific idea! I’m thinking I could get by without the RV jack, though. I just need a little help getting that first 10 to 12 inches off the floor, so I’d be good with just the rocker portion. Count me in!

I don't have the thread handy but this premise and design has been shared for a LONG time on the site (years!). People should just make their own.

probably a few more threads out there with iterations on the build method of the block.
Quoted from Amused_to_Death:$65 (mentioned in thread) sounds better than $225.

LOL! I had thought about making the same remark.
I just had the most Zen game; I can't believe how great the software package is on this one. Got to the They Came from Space wizard mode for the first time and completed a bunch of other game features...Sound package, light show, everything along the way was just fucking perfect.

There’s about a 0.00% chance any 40th owners would sell their dagger (for a remotely reasonable price). Heck, I doubt anyone would even sell their book since it’s signed differently than normal.

Awesome, congrats. Amazing game and game room! That PinJak seems very helpful.
After about 100 plays I'm realizing that my trunk isn't working as intended - balls are getting stuck in it, and it's 50/50 as to whether or not the ball search will find it and kick it out without locking it, or trapping my ball for long enough to just end my game. Either way, I haven't experienced a fully functional game yet.
I've scoured the Owner's Club thread and have seen that I'm not the only one with this issue, so I'm wondering if any other 40th owners are having this problem, and if there's some kind of universally accepted fix I can implement or if I need to do something that's unique to how my specific trunk isn't working.

Anyone can get an “Elvira” signed book at her website. It’s only the ones sold at book retailers that were signed as Cassandra

Well you never know, some people just do not like shooter rods I think I will print my own. And work on one for myself.

No need to print one - just grab one of the Sideshow/Tweeterhead replicas on eBay for around $300. Remove the blade and epoxy the shooter rod to the handle. This may have been what Stern did as they look really similar.
I wonder if they did that. Stern knowing they will only go cheap and also finding 199 Sideshow daggers is a lot. I rarely see any on ebay.
I know the 3d print file is there, so think they outsourced it to have it printed in resin and painted gold with some jewels in it.

The playfields are all the same regardless of premium/le/se/40. The owners thread discussion would be relevant to your machine as well. Would you say its a mechanical issue with the ball not moving into position or a switch type issue with the ball not being recognized once its there?
Quoted from PeterG:Well you never know, some people just do not like shooter rods
I find the dagger to be uncomfortable, it's too long, and it looks like the guard might be breakable. I'm now using the clown head shooter. But would I sell my dagger? Nope! It would kill the value of the game should I ever decide to resell it.

No, that is not what Stern did. Tweeterhead's replica is cold cast porcelain, whereas Stern's is gold chromed plastic. Tweeterhead's dagger has a shorter hilt. And, with Stern's dagger, the rod is not simply glued to the end in place of a blade, it is inserted deep within the hilt. There's also no way on earth that Stern found 200 Tweeterhead daggers on eBay. Maybe back in 2015-16, when it was first sold, but not in 2021-22.
Got topper and installed today...(no more pics, everyone has seen this beautiful game already). Honestly had no idea the stone color was actually a shade of purple.....stunning!!!! Fit's this game so well.....
Got my topper on as well. Looks great and scream gag is great. Cranked mine up to 100% scream for both attract and game mode, but not sure it actually made any difference.

Seems toppers come and go in small batched...a must have ( I got lucky)...
I was wondering if anyone had put my Deluxe 5.25" Speaker Light Kits in the 40th Anniversary Edition. I was wondering if the surrounds were plastic (which would allow the purple surrounds to light up) or metal (which would not light up). After posting, I looked through the picture gallery and I believe they must be plastic.
I tried to delete my post, but I guess that's not allowed on Pinside. I really would have thought that would be an option.

Hi Doug... yes, the purple plastic speaker housing ring is transparent and allows light to shine through. Works great on my Elvira 40th.
