I am still working through some issues with Elvira. The game was not awarding extra balls for some reason even though all of the settings seemed to allow it.

I did a factory reset and after powering back up, all of the coils fire at the same time, the GI lights come on and then the displays are blank.

I pulled the batteries for 30 minutes and tried it again, but the same thing happens.

Can the ROMS be bad or does it seem like something else?

Thanks

Update;

Still troubleshooting. Replaced the F4 fuse (bad) on the power supply. powered up again and fuse F4 and F5 started glowing and before I could turn it back off F5 had already blown.

This is weird because I haven't changed anything except resetting to factory settings.

More update: I think it is unrelated to the factory reset. The main power supply is blowing F4 and F5 without anything even connected to it, so it must be a short in the power supply.

I may have the parts to fix it if it is one of the same parts as a Williams system 11.

More Update: PinRepair says it is BR1. I think I have one. I will try to fix it sometime tomorrow.

Test the bridge before you pull it. Perhaps pull the ribbon cables to the CPU board and see if it still blows.

Do the board work only if you must.

It was the bridge. Bridge tested bad. Replaced bridge and all the caps. Working great now.
