Elvira's House of Horrors (Limited Edition)
Stern, 2019Hello,
We have an LE game and quite a bit during Multiball the flippers will stop working and you'll lose all your balls to drain. We can't find anything in the rules so far that would cause this but it's super frustrating.
Does anyone know what could be causing this and / or if there is a setting or something to remedy it?

Sounds like a trough switch might be gapped too tightly and is registering as closed.
Take the balls out, go into test mode, and see if one of them changes when you bang on the playfield a bit. Then take out and adjust!

That's possibly an intermittent short causing node 8 to shutdown temporarily. This happened on my game too and the issue was one of the 3 trunk switches was shorting to a bulb beside it. Check that area under the playfield and make sure none of the switches and bulbs are touching each other. This isn't necessarily your problem, but the bulbs and switches are tightly packed in that area so it's a good place to start checking.

Haven't found anything shorted. The trough options all seem to be working fine. Checked all the cat5 connections and about everything else. The lights and switches at the trunk are gapped off each other and I tapped around to make sure nothing was loose and touching with shaking.
When I shake the machine around the only switch that gets made is the one in the attached photo. On the screen you can see the switches that are already made and I'm not sure if that's right.
So it did it a bit ago during house multi-ball. You just lose the flippers long enough to lose your balls then they come back. Seems really like it does it half way through House Multi-ball... Is this a part of the game???

No, it's not part of the game.
Don't worry about the crypt motor switch. That mechanism is going to wobble a bit if you shake the game.

It did it today during the Gargolyle phase so... I'm going to call stern and see what they can help with...
