Jaja ok,I’m waiting for the pre drivers to come, let you know
Thanks for your help

#52 6 years ago

Hi grumpy,3 pre driver replaced q69=60 ohm
Q75 =65 ohm and q71=activates the right sling
What nexts
Thanks

#53 6 years ago

Sorry, righ slingshot still locks when starting a game(had a blown fuse)

#54 6 years ago

Not righ slingshot, right bumper I mean

#55 6 years ago

What next?

Quoted from robertg130:

Check coil resistance, should be 4.0 ohms or more.

#57 6 years ago

Coil measure 5 ohms

Good, check D19 on the aux P/S.

#59 6 years ago

Looks fine .65 and 1 in reverse

#60 6 years ago

What next?

#61 6 years ago

Remove 1J11, 1J12, 1J19 and 5J11, 5J12. Measure resistance from the ground braid to the control wire on right bumper.

#62 6 years ago

Not sure what is the control wire some measures
Ground to positive in the coil is 1(open)
Ground to white (in the bumper switch)=820 ohms
Ground to green/brown stripe (center of switch)1.2k
Ground to yellow/violet(switch) =2k and up
Ground to red(violet strip) =1
Let me know if this ir right
Thanks very much

There should have been a blue/orange wire on the coil lug.

#64 6 years ago

Yes,
reads 1(open)

Remove 1J11, 1J12, 1J19 and reconnect 5J11 and 5J12. Turn on power. Start a game, does any coils lock on now?

#66 6 years ago

No coil is lock with 1j11,1j12,1j19 out and 5j11 and 5j12 in
Thanks

#67 6 years ago

With everything hooked up like this

Quoted from robertg130:No coil is lock with 1j11,1j12,1j19 out and 5j11 and 5j12 in

Start a game and test resistance to ground on each pin on the CPU board of the disconnected connectors J11,J12 and J19.

#68 6 years ago

1j11
1 1
3 1
4 1
5 1
6 1
7 1
8 1
9 1

1j12
All 1 too
1j19
1 1.2 ohm
2 .6 ohm
3 1
4 1
6 1
7 1
8 1
9 1
Thanks

#69 6 years ago

This all looks good, so with game powered on and a game started slowly plug in each connector. If a coil fires while plugging in connector, remove it right away.
If all is good then unplug 1J8 and 1J10 and put in switch test, does any switch show up on the display.

#70 6 years ago

Connecting as you said coil don’t lock, but disconnecting 1j8 and ij10 switch test don’t give me noting, when connecting 1j8 don’t give switches work but don’t show any stuck switch

#71 6 years ago

Forget that,I was missing a auxiliary j3 plug unplugged, let me test again

#72 6 years ago

My fault, you need to be in switch test first. Then disconnect J8 and J10, see if any switches show up as stuck closed. If something shows up it's a board problem. If nothing shows then remove the balls and reconnect J8 and J 10. Does anything show up now. If something shows up look to see if the switch is stuck closed.

#73 6 years ago

Test in again
With 1j11,1j12 and 1j19 out and 1j4,1j5 in
No coil lock
Testing again resistance in
1j11,1j12 and 1j19
1j11 all pins 1
1j12 pin 5=650 ohms the other all 1
1j19 pin 1 and 2=.4 ohms the others all 1
So there is something wrong in 1j12 pin 5
Check this and let my know
Sorry for my mistake
Thanks again

Quoted from robertg130:

1j12 pin 5=650 ohms

Yes this is a problem, do not connect J12 at this time.

#75 6 years ago

Yeahhh,so what next

#76 6 years ago

When I connect IJ19 right bumper stuck

#77 6 years ago

What Can I do next?thanks

#78 6 years ago

I'm in Vegas for the next 5 days, so I wont be around to much. You better keep 1J19 disconnected too. It seem that sometimes the pins are good and then later they are low ohms and locking on coils. This can be a bad Pia chip. Hard to catch this when it happens. I had this on a Pinbot board where a pia chip would randomly lock on one coil, even in attract mode.

#79 6 years ago

I’m gonna change the pia chip and see what happens

#80 6 years ago

All this board checking... start looking at wires or something other than that. You are to focused on board being the main problem. I'm a newbie at pins but mechanic problems do not have silver bullet fix. I would eye ball the hell out anything that might cause a board problem.

#81 6 years ago
Quoted from robertg130:

I would test it first.

#82 6 years ago

Have a good trip

#83 6 years ago

Changed 7407 no changes

#84 6 years ago

I'm back.

Quoted from robertg130:

1j12 pin 5=650 ohms

This is for the A/C relay, some games switch this on and off in attract mode so some flashers can work. I don't have an Elvira so I can't confine this.

Quoted from robertg130:

When I connect IJ19 right bumper stuck

Clip logic probe on U-45 pin 2 and leave game in attract mode and monitor the output, this should stay constant high.

I'm taking for granted that you checked the power supply output voltages. 5 and 12 volt.

#85 6 years ago

Fixed! The only think that don’t work is the backbox Brown gi.Have voltage in the line but bulbs stayed off
Thanks

#86 6 years ago

Have you checked the the GI relay on the insert board for cracked solder joints? If that's fine check for cracked solder joints on the header pins of the interconnect board.
