Quoted from Pinkitten:

That’s a beauty! A local collector and friend of mine restored his EATPM a few years ago, and I bought it in 2020. It’s restored top to bottom like yours, and even has a Kruzman clear coated pf. I sleep underneath it at night just to make sure it doesn’t get away.

Yours was the best Elvira I've ever played or seen. Maybe I need to ask Daane to do a 3rd restore

Quoted from RandyW:

There! It took about 8 hours, but all the glue is off and I just have to fix a couple of inserts. Next I’ll finish stripping the playfield, clean it and polish all the metal.
[quoted image][quoted image]

Very nice. I have to do this as well. Part of me wants to just get a new play field. Part of me thinks I'm just nuts all the way around.

Quoted from RandyW:

It’s not cut out straight and I haven’t put in my new inserts or fixed up the door… but this is what I’m doing for my table.
[quoted image]

That is not right. Who in the hell would reject Elvira!!

Quoted from RandyW:

I do this for a living. Rebuilding and repairing pins that is. So I’ve got a few tools. I made some descent progress this morning. [quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

I just ordered a new CPU about an hour ago. I tried to repair but damn that's meticulous work.

Here's a couple crappy pics of my coin door wiring.

Quoted from RandyW:

I hope you ordered it from DumbAss. The RottenDog Sys11 MPU is utter garbage, more often than not.

Awe shit, really? I ordered the RD from pinball life.

Sprayed the legs while on the game... smfh.

I think you need to decide how in depth you want to go on the restore. If you are going to do a playfield swap, new ramps. Other wise clean and flame polish them. New cab decals if you are going to powder coat everything, and new side rails at the same time. Get a new coin door!

Before you know it, you will be down lotsa $$$$, but Elvira is worth it. She is the longest I have owned any pin. I have yet to start any major cosmetic restoration but she is still fun to shoot!

Quoted from DragonLord:

I'm going with Comet for LEDs. What are peoples thoughts on the LEDs for the flashers in this title?

I replaced all the regular bulbs with LEDS but left the flashers alone. They are pretty great the way they are.

Tweak the colors a little behind the monster slide area (green) and by the party punch (red). A few greens behind the bottles above Elviras party punch and Norman's green beer on the back glass and it looks great.

Quoted from DragonLord:

Can anyone give me some instructions on how to get to the switch test? My switch 55 is giving me an error but I'm not sure why.

After power up, press middle button to down position (red). Press the black button once to select (button closest to machine when door is open 90 degrees). Press red button again so it is in the up position. You can now cycle through the tests using the previously used black button.

I just recently sold my Elvira (for the 3rd time lol, I always get her back). Guy calls me saying it is putting two balls into the shooter lane. I show up, shooter lane switch not working, lower pop bumper switch not working, target up switch not working. after looking for a half hour, came across one wire broke off by the drac targets. Soldered it back, all better.

Elvira is like a real woman. Expensive, high maintenance, and moody. But when she is working right, she is a damn good time.

Too bad he was talking so much I couldn't hear the sound effect. I owned it 12 years and never heard it either!
