Quoted from SilverUnicorn:

My boogie men keep jumping off their shafts. These are replacements from PPS. Should I use glue or something to keep them on?
[quoted image]

I'd say no to glue. Buy new old "boogie men" like this one. (Not my auction)...

ebay.com link: itm

Look for that logo and Hong Kong, I've got 2 sets of these, one as backup.

I put a ring of hot glue on the inside of my boogie men and that's done a good job of keeping them on the shaft. Should be easily removable if the need arises.

I have replacements from Marco and they've never came off in the almost two years they've been on. Seems weird, I wonder if a heat gun could shrink it a bit?

Luckily I had a couple of spares in the coin box. Was back up and playing in 10 minutes.

PBL does carry them.

In the spirit of Elvira...
Looking a little limp there. Don't worry, happens to a lot of guys. Talk to your doctor; I think there's a pill for that.

I am looking for a cool looking shooter rod for my Elvira. If you have one love to see some pics and where did you get it from. Thanks.

My new Elvira is missing the Monster Slide entrance plastic and the light that attaches to it. I now have the plastic arch mounted and will need to source the single 555 bulb board. Big question is where do the wires attach under the playfield. I looked but do not see any connector.can anyone take a look on theirs to see where they connect. Thanks

I had the same problem, the wire is attached I believe, to the same connector as the skull wires. The problem I had was, the wire to the Monster lamp light had broken off in the tubing covering the wires going up to the skull. I just added some wire, a diode and fabricated a bracket for the light.

Thanks I’ll check it out and follow the wire colors.

All done and working great. Wires were under the skull and about 1 inch long. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction.

Looks good, glad I could help. Now just replace that ramp switch with a magnet switch and you'll be all set.

I just turned on my EatPM and it says to check switch S2. I just looked through the manual and couldn't find what it was talking about. Common issue? Any ideas? Please?

Thank you!

You sure it's not switch 52?

You are probably correct! Sorry I don’t have much experience with older machines.

2 yr. resto wrapping up! I’m stoked to get the trio back together. All blacked out, new cab, mirror pinblades, side rails, new playfield, basically a better than new pin. I tried putting TruEL wire to the ramps but even with a more powerful than needed inverter they’re just not bright enough to appreciate. They need pitch dark to illuminate. Getting washed out by surrounding LED’s. Detail lighting still a work in progress.

Totally dig these switches, basically install and forget about them. Very user friendly. One thing that's giving me a little challenge is the ramp switches. With the warmth emitted via the pin the two sided tape holding the switch to the ramp continues releasing.

It can happen with new ramps - I've found using something a little more aggressive - acetone - to clean the ramp is key...this 3M tape we use is pretty strong stuff - but if the surface isn't really clean - especially on new ramps....heat actually doesn't do much to release them onto themselves...it's the surface prep...

Yeah I use 3M, but I'll try to prep surface again. Even though switch isn't adhered to ramp it's still registering!

I have owned my Elviria for a few years now, what is the trick to rack up points? My high score is 11 million but that is low to me. I get the multiball and sometimes I make the 4 million ramps shot then it drops back down to 1 million is that supposed to happen? I spell out Elviria and make 3 million then I have to spell out her name again, any hints. Thanks

If the jackpot is set to progressive, it will reset to 1m once collected. It can be changed to a flat 4m in the settings.

Repeatedly shooting the Monster Slide (left ramp) increases its value. After four consecutive shots, the next will be worth 1m. Each shot after that is worth an Elvira letter. Each subsequent 1m sequence requires one additional shot.

Party punch ramp increases in value after each shot. The combined value of the lit inserts show the value. 225k lights extra ball.

Spelling Elvira and collecting the 3m and the 4m multiball jackpots are the biggest points-scorers.
