Quoted from Jrotten:

Kruzman did mine, he may be able to get you one. CPR has them but from what I hear they were waiting on clear process. Ron does amazing work.

Honestly, I would rather have him redo an original, than a CPR. From what I have seen in the past, both firsthand and on here... I am not too keen on having a CPR pf in my table. Maybe I am way off, but I have seen some really crappy playfields from them.
It just seems to be hit or miss.

Yours is absolutely stunning though!!

I'm in the club, courtesy of a ND Pinsider. She was in somewhat rough shape when I got her. I've put about 30 hours in so far. Tearing down the pf, cleaning, adjusting switches, fixing loose wires, replacing plastics, installing LEDs, repairing light boards and sockets, replacing a bad display, and misc. other things. This all took longer because many of the screwheads and posts were rusted and/or corroded, from moisture I guess. So they were hard to remove, and sometimes the screwheads or bolts just plain broke off while trying to unscrew them.

I replaced most of the bad hardware, and the game has cleaned up nicely. Even though the pin had some moisture issues, the pf was actually in very nice shape and so were the ramps. Still some tweaking to do, and I'll be installing NVRAM next week, and also new legs and levelers.

Can anyone tell me if the game is supposed to kick balls out of the multiball lock after a game over? On my machine, if I lock 2 balls, game over, then start a new game I can lock ball 3 and get into multiball basically immediately

Adjustment 44 Save Locks - Set to yes should hold locked balls until multiball is started; set to no should clear the ball lock at the end of each game.

Yep, here's the game I shopped 9 years ago... think she has waited long enough?

Man, it looks like Elvira went thou a war.

#1410 2 years ago

Yeah it's bad, fresh off route! Can anyone tell me where I can find these special "thumper bumper" rings with the lens cap supports? Mine are either loose or feel broken when I try to tighten the screws down and nothing happens. What's funny is neither Elvira, Gilligan's Island, or Party Zone have the correct assemblies in the manual. The manual specifies the Bally 6803 style clip on bumper bodies, but these are completely different with two indents in them to accommodate the protrusions on the ring for the lens cap supports.

These are no longer available. You’ll need to have the extension rod welded back on. I had mine laser welded, so it looked clean.

I'll try soldering the rings with plumbing solder.

There’s someone here on pinside that offers a welding service at affordable rates. Just send it to him, rather than risking screwing it up with the wrong tools.

Wow - that’s awesome.

Just started to restore my EATPM. Way to go…
Hopefully I will own all three as well one day…

Anyway - let’s first start with this lady.

She came back all the way from Greece to Germany. Looks like she spent too much time near to the sea. The backbox needs some replacement parts…

New to the club, picked this up last week and did a good deep cleaning on it and I am looking for one part, I can’t seem to find this from the usual places I use

Pretty sure those rings are unobtanium.

Broken scre threads inside it? Porbably gonna have to drill and retap.

Does anyone know where I can get a bracket assembly for the boogie men? The coil stop broke off of mine. It's part B-12921.

We have the complete assy. minus the boogie men figures for $125 + Insured S/H.

Need some help. I just picked up my Elvira, and I'm making my list of needed parts. I'm having one HELL of a time finding the plastic channel at the bottom of the backbox that the backglass sits in. It's an odd shape which no one seems to carry. Does anyone have a source for this stuff?

That’s not just the normal lift channel, right? I’ve purchased lift channels from Pinsider Gatecrasher . He’s got a picture of what he carries in his profile.

Yeah, still no luck here either. mines pretty rough, but here's my plan. I'm going to smooth down the flat portion that faces the player, and glue a new thin plastic "skin" on it. That will hide all the chips missing on the original face, and no one should ever notice the difference.

No, it's not the backglass lift channel, it's the piece that attaches to the bottom of the backbox that the lift channel sits in. On most games it's called a U channel or H channel.

On a happier note, I just purchased a new playfield, mirrored backglass, and plastics set from CPR. New ramps from Starship Fantasy, and cabinet decals from Gameroom Guys. The fun will begin soon.

I didn’t do the work myself so I can’t take any credit, a talented collector in west Michigan did the restore on my EATPM with new playfield, mirrored backglass, and any new parts, ramps, decals it needed and re-wrapped all coils with correct values. It’s such a beautiful game!

Nice, Scribbles.

I have a Kruzman finished CPR here waiting its turn. Can't wait to dive in and give mine the treatment as well. Would love to follow your build if you care to start a thread.

There's a wonderfully done resto thread done about 4 months ago by @Alexmogil. My documentation would pale in comparison....lol. I'll be referencing that one alot.

Does anyone have a domestic source for the apron decals? I can't find any in the states.

I put them on both ramps and they work great. The key is placing them in the best location for the ball to get as close as possible to the magnet. On EATPM I decided to place them under the ramps.

Do you have any pictures that show them well? I’d love to get rid of those switches!

Hopefully you can get some pics - but here's an example from WH2O .....they are so small they go underneath both the ramp and typically the decal there at the opening..... this customer replaced both gates for the entrance to Bigfoot Bluff and Insanity Falls...as you see - you'll see nothing..

Has anyone here upgraded the backbox speakers and subwoofer in EATPM? If so, what did you use? Please share your thoughts.

#1447 2 years ago

I got mine from Flipper Fidelity a few years ago. The speakers are a bit different and I had to send him mine. He did a great job and I like them a lot. I’d do pics but at the moment my games are all put up as I’m redoing my game room.

Thanks for the info. I'm finding that there aren't really many options out there, so...

Here's what I plan to do. Enlarge the right side hole so that the panel will hold two 5 1/4" speakers. Wire them in series to create an 8 ohm load, then put in an 8 ohm resistor to end up with a 4 ohm load just like factory. As fat as the sub, factory is 8 ohm, so a dual voice coil 4 ohm speaker will do the trick. Not worried about amplification right now, I just need working speakers that aren't thrashed

Could someone kindly take a few photos of the inside of the backbox lock area? My machine was missing its lock, and I want to make sure I install a lock correctly. This area. Thanks!
