These are the pictures that show the two posts my game is missing

Thanks for everyone's help sending some pictures out of that area, I think it's two metal posts I need, and one rubber band

I guess to get the right post I would ask: what is that part number? Do they screw in the playfield or do they go all the way through and have a nut on the bottom side ?

Here are my post they screw in but look about the same as Bohdi's ? Rubber is 1.5" o.d. 1" i.d. You could also use the pass through posts both available at Pinball life or Marco's last I checked. Just finished installing Titan glow in the dark full rubber kit with added uv lighting. Made me appreciate bally's effort with glow in the dark ink on plastic and playfield! Also anyone remember who was selling glow in the dark skull (multiball lock) can't seem to find? Thanks............. I am also interested in where and how you mounted the uv bulbs, where you purchased them, etc. Looks great! Also, I looked on the Titan pinball website and can't find glow in the dark rubber. Do you have more info? Thanks!

I finally found the glow rubbers on Titan. I tried searching "glow" in the search field but nothing comes up. I found them when selecting color...

Do you need to play the game in a dark room to get the full glow in the dark effect or will it still look good in a normally lit room?

#912 7 months ago

Thanks Blacktoothgrin! Got the parts and just finished out my glow in the dark EATPM. Looks awesome! Now, does anyone know where to get some balls that will glow in the dark under uv lighting?

EATPM is a current contender for our weekly featured game of the week. If chosen we'll do a tutorial for tournament strategy (simple strategy for people like me that play so-so) then stream about 2 hours of league play all from Arcade Super Awesome.

Rejoining the club after selling off my other EATPM 5 years back.

F4 fuse is blowing constantly and I need to figure out why.
But other than that, and a few bad bulbs, I am very happy with my latest addition to the collection.

Will the NVRAM work with System 11? I need to replace the battery holder as even new batteries are not preventing the adjustment failure message that I get every time it boots.

I'll add some pictures later.

Yep, nvram works great on those games but you'd need to remove the existing RAM (typically soldered on the board from the factory). Should be the 6116 nvram unless someone has already replaced the nvram with a socket and installed a 6264. Worth checking what's currently on the board just in-case.

I just bought an EATPM, and I'm having problems with air balls about 90% of the time when the ball enters the Monster Slide ramp. I'm thinking the ramp is a new thicker plastic which is creating a very subtle ridge under the metal entrance flap that might be enough to pop the ball into the air. I'm contemplating sanding the end of the ramp thinner to yield a smoother transition with the playfield. I should mention that I already custom ground the surface of the two countersunk flat head screws that attach the ramp to the playfield so that they would be flush with the ramp surface, but that didn't help.

Also, the PF has no Mylar; it is clear coated. This might cause a faster ball velocity from the right flipper which might be a contributing factor to this problem.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

No, sorry... I still have the original ramps and mylar on my PF. I'm waiting for the CPR PF and I have a set of new ramps to install after I get that PF (could be a long wait) so I don't any issue with that at this time. Could you post a pic of the ramp and potential ridge?

#928 4 months ago

Thanks for the reply. Taking a photo was a good suggestion, because it got me looking a little closer. You can see many microscratches in the metal flap running in the ball direction that abruptly end at the ridge formed by the thickness of the plastic ramp underneath the metal flap. To me that is a good indicator of the point at which the ball gets airborne. Please let me know if anyone has dealt with this issue.

Interesting... I'm trying to get my head around this and while I know, and see, that these new ramps are thicker (and a selling point to them lasting longer) it does not seem that the ramp is itself is making contact with the PF.

So the questions would be:

Would longer screws make the flap lay flat?

Would re-drilling the holes help spread the flap out?

Is the ramp getting pinched inward by the post sleeves causing the ramp to buckle in the center?

I'm not saying you should do anything but trying to realize why this issue exists.

I know others have replaced their OG ramps with these new ones and am curious myself what would cause this to happen.

#930 4 months ago

The flap looks like its humped in the center because the rivet holes in the ramp are too close ( or flap is too far apart). Also looks like the ramp isn't all the way down ( gap under left side).

#931 4 months ago

Thanks tiltmonster. I've got it screwed down tight. Any tighter, and I'm afraid the countersunk screw heads will pop through the plastic. You are right that it appears the plastic isn't all the way in contact with PF surface.

Hi Gutz, that is an astute observation that the flap is humped. I've noticed that myself, but I guess I'm in denial phase, because it seems not easy to fix. I can imagine the metal flap acting like a spring board, just like the vault in gymnastics.

Right, sorry, that's what I meant and I was wondering why it would be bowed in the center; is it because the ramp is being pinched by the sleeve posts causing it to rise up in the center? Or it's not laying flat because the screws are too short and it didn't pull the flap flat enough to the PF? Or are the holes in the ramp drilled incorrectly and they are too close together causing the flap to push inward? If the ramp were laying flat on the PF then I would be wondering if it was due to the thicker "material". Sorry, I'm only trying to think of what would cause this to happen...

This is the only pic I have of mine in that area, I can take more, but it appears to have a slight bump in the center too

I've been stalking Pinside for awhile now and am now starting to visit the threads.
Here's my EATPM.
It had a clear coated playfield when I bought it...but the cabinet was rough.
This was my first cabinet restoration. Last summer's project.
I'm happy with how it turned out.

Looks very nice. Personally, I'm not a fan of the Green, but it works on this title. Seen it done on her before. It's all in personal preference. If you like it, that's the important part. Very nice job..

Just about done getting my EatPM back together. Everything is now working as it should, but a few tweaks here and there are needed. I need to get that Party Punch ramp adjusted to keep the balls from achieving lift off...

I just love the light show they put into this game.

Hey everyone, just joined the group! I had wanted one for a long time and absolutely love her!

Is there anyway to balance the game music and the speech call-outs? I think the call-out should be louder than the music but they are very loud on my machine.

Glad to be part of the club.

Yeah, I just want to crank the music up, and then the call-out's blast you out.
I think I may have found a sweet spot where it's the best of both.

Softening the start of the ramp with a heat gun and slightly pushing it down with a straight edge helped a little bit. My ramp felt like it had a steep hump right off the playfield so when a ball was sent at it with enough speed...Houston, we have liftoff.

For the owners of both Scared Stiff and EATPM:

Is there enough in both games, besides the theme (!), that would warrant keeping both in a collection? I've got about 17 games in the gameroom and I'm looking to bring in Scared Stiff...I'm afraid Party Monsters is very similar layout wise.

I'd say EATPM is the more difficult of the two, and Scared Stiff the better looking and more feature-laden--is there an advantage to keeping both other than the cool factor of having both Elvira games displayed side by each?

Looking good! So glad to see people appreciate this game. I think that you can only adjust all sounds at the same time but I'm not certain.
