I find the art package kinda weird on this. Expected more dark areas, more contrast between playfield and the (million) inserts. Does the layout scream Elvira to you in the same way as e.g. Deadpool does?

Quoted from Halfwasted:I'm not buying anything from Stern until they acknowledge the clear coat issue.
Pretty sure stern leaked this pin. How do they have an official follow up video so quick. To take your mind off playfield issues. Genius move by Stern. I am not falling for it however...
Rest of the sheep can buy a this and complain once their playfields crumble...
Sadly new pin fever is a real affliction and there are plenty of people who will drop money on whatever new pin Stern crank out, regardless of any issues or reduction in toys, etc.
When Jaws, Karate Kid, TMNT, or whatever else Stern comes out with in a couple of months time all will be forgotten, again.
Quoted from arcademojo:Ding Ding we have a winner!!
So how many other pins have actors do custom filming for the pinball machine??
This is huge!! and a first of it's kind. Probably not cheap either. I hate the price also but stuff like this will set the game apart from the rest.
Did they also go back in time to film her too when she was actually doing Elvira seriously?
Quoted from GamerRick:Well we know Stern employees monitor this site. So they have to be aware that most of the Pinball community is disappointed, if not completely annoyed, that Stern has dropped drop targets from most of its new pins. They don’t cost that much and they know it would make many of us very happy. So it is very perplexing why they don’t do that knowing that many of their best customers, including all their premium and LE customers, want that. Good businesses give the customer what they want.
They don’t need drop targets because sales figures show people are still buying the pins regardless without them.
The only power consumers have vs profit selling entities is voting with their wallets. If enough people don’t do that, nothing will change.
Quoted from kermit24:Anyone complaining about the callouts does not understand how Lyman Sheets codes a game. The call outs will come, but when it is closer to done.
Maybe don’t demo the product you’re wanting people to but if it’s core selling point isn’t done yet?
Stern are asking people to drop the full asking price now. People buying it should be comfortable with what is being sold
now, that’s what you’re paying for. There is no guarantee of anything else down the line.
Buying a pin (or anything really) on the basis of a nebulous future feature or code update is seriously risky. Just look at Munsters, on the final code already...
Quoted from andrewket:The disclaimer that they put the machine into a “linear” mode to simplify the stream/presentation doesn’t resonate with me. If the code was mature they would show it. Can we honestly envision a conversation a day before the steam where someone suggests they should remove or hide functionality because they’re worried consumers will be confused? In some ways, the fact they tried to spin it worries and annoys me more than they’re taking a game to market with immature code. It’s the cover up that gets you....
Do we have faith in Lyman’s ability to make a great game? Yes.
Do we have faith that Stern will give him the time to do that before moving on to the next thing? I’m not sure.
And the plastic simple ramps? At this price point? Wtf.
I have an LE on order. I’m not a huge Elvira fan. I was drawn to the haunted house, but I’m leaning towards canceling.
Bang on.
People buying the “it’s a stream codebase and not indicative of final product” are putting a lot of faith in to it. Are you suggesting that in a 2 hour stream they can’t demonstrate depth? Or that the missing Elvira videos and callouts are in there somewhere?
Are we supposed to believe that they stripped out loads of Elvira content on their Elvira themed pin called 3lvira.. because the stream had to be... “linear”?
I’ve got some magic beans to sell if so..
