Neither the theme or price are for me but it’s an interesting layout. It looks like it will have endless flow. Wide open playfield with all long shots. No idea if it will work and be fun but at least it’s new. It might be too repetitive, catch and shoot, catch and shoot... Without pops and so wide open there doesn’t seem like a lot to create chaos.

The SLE feels like desperation from Stern its like a go fund me to get them over this playfield hit, asking their strongest supporters for a 5K donation.

Quoted from meSz:

What playfield hit? Stern hasn't even commented on the pf issues nonetheless taken a hit.

You honestly think they have not lost a sale or are concerned about replacements or repair? They took a nice solid kick in the nuts on this latest quality fail.

Quoted from meSz:

well that's just it .... it's all speculation as no one know's if they did or not as that info is not available. I am not going to lie and say I was in for Elvira but backed out due to the pf issue but I would think some people have, again speculation.

Stern seems way more bullet proof than most companies. People still keep throwing money at them. That being said no company can repeatedly have this kind of customer dissatisfaction and bad word of mouth and come away unscathed.

My initial impressions are kinda mixed. No idea why they are air balling across the playfield, it adds nothing. It feels like they are actively trying to minimize mechs but appear loaded. With no drop targets for interactive stuff you get pops, the lifting trunk (I do like that), two drop entrances to the subway, the lift ramp to the house, spinner, and the airball dimple maker. The gargoyles are super simple toy so I don't really count them. Honestly this is what I think we should get on a pro, a premium should have all drops instead of standups and an LE should come with extra bling.

Quoted from thewool:

The VUK is the ray gun and player controlled. So maybe there will be timed shots or something cool?

I do like the AC/DC Cannon but it covers so much ground and has strategy where you shoot it. Playfields appear a little tougher back then. Hopefully they can come up with some kind of timing to make it interesting.

Quoted from Rarehero:

Not trying to change your mind. I'm trying to give you facts. The labels on this game are literally the same as always...no Pro exists this time. Fact = Pro is a cheaper, feature-stripped model. There's no Pro.

I said it already but, this version should be the pro with the missing drop targets, the Premium with the drops and the LE with the bling. Stern has just lowered the bar with the mono target and people think individual standups are good. This should really be the bar for a Pro not a special edition run.

Quoted from Jvspin:

I think there is way too much stuff in here for a pro. The pro would probably replace the stand ups with mono targets, remove the lifting crate, remove the turning mansion turret and remove the subway.

I agree that is what Stern would do with the Pro. My point was this is what should be considered the base model. The current pro level feels stripped out for the price.

Quoted from TreyBo69:

Why don't we wait to see how it plays?
Also some people prefer standups over drop targets depending on their placement/angle. Some people hate the drops on TWD considering how vital they are and how punishing they can be. Firepower is better with standups than drop targets. And for the record I do love drop targets. But sometimes stand ups work better (and that's without getting into the space constraints underneath the playfield)

If this was a Pro I would be on it like a fat kid on a smartie and the license does nothing for me. I'm not saying this doesn't look like it will be a heck of a lot of fun to play. I just don't think it's as loaded as the price tag. I love my AC/DC Pro with all the stand ups but the drops are certainly value added. My comment are more the current Pro level at Stern not really this specific pin. New JP Pro should at least have the mouth open and close on the Trex with a shot at it. No pins should have those mono targets. I think if Stern raised the bar on the lower end they would get a lot more sales. You should not have to buy special editions or boutique run pins to get a complete pin.
