Quoted from Redfield0009:

Just got off the phone with my distributor

LE is priced at 9599 (he is only getting 3 and has a huge list)
Premium is 7899
SLE is 15k

1.The translites between the Premium and LE are the same. LE is just mirrored back glass.
2. The top of the house spins based on modes, lights in the house come on during modes.
3. The dead head crypt can either present a bash toy or feed the VUC.
4. Pops are located behind the crypt.
5.VUC shoots across the playfield into the trunk.
6. The house can feed the ramps.
7. Clips from over 40 movies night if the living dead is one of them.
8. Offical video is up tomorrow

FINALLY!! Some real info!

To keep up with megacorp Deeproot they don't have a chance anyway. Just get what you can until the doors close.

Uh...yeah...so ... who is deeproot again?

Pretty sure someone already started one. They like to get a template ready; saves time.

It should just be HOH. Scared Stiff is SS, not ESS, nor is it E2.

How about: IDGAF?

Are those the actual prices you pay? Or is that just MSRP? Haven't bought a NIB Stern since ACDC Luci VE

Wait this isn't about TMNT, you must be in the wrong thread Thanks for the info, sle clearly out, need to ponder le and premium.

Quoted from Thunderbird:

Cannot figure out why you think this. Go into the settings and set the turntable for faster spin if it bothers you. It is lightning fast if you set on highest setting. On Catwoman ramp, no flex at all. You must have one that is not properly seated. No clunks at all, when you learn flipper positions. Any game is clunky when the player doesn’t know where the shots are on the flippers. Geometry 101.

LOL 101. It’s a clunkfest. And a bit of a long playing snooze. Best rules in the world can’t make a game less sloggy.

Well, yeah....if you spend $10k-$15k on a pin and its playfield is made of mush....then yeah, bitching will commence & be warranted.

Nope. Last new Stern game I bought was STLE NIB...and that was after seeing my friend's get mushy craters after just a few games. I thought $7300 shipped for an LE was insane, but I got wrapped up in the pretty lights. No idea what I was thinking - although luckily mine had a decent playfield. At this point I'm fully out of "the cult"...just an outsider looking in at this point. It's bizarre to watch people keep throwing more and more money at unproven quality.

I think its great....gives more opportunity for guys like us to pick up a nice HUO (fully inspected) game at a big discount....Stern LE's almost depreciate faster than new cars

Quoted from MikeS:

I am looking forward to the day that Lyman codes another cornerstone game as these more expensive games aren't as likely to be found on route and are too expensive to justify for home without a more affordable Pro option.

agreed and hoping Jim gets one for us to play on route! He got BM66, so would hope this is in his budget also.

Another great thing about having 2 local operators that put out and maintain the new stuff; better chance that we all get to play everything.

Hell, between Madison Pinball and Jim... I dont remember the last game that has not been put on route in town.

Nope, it’s going to be original 80’s TV version. Nick is cool with that. Look at the Arcade 1up TMNT & other 80’s Turtles merch that’s out there.

The only real way!!

Quoted from wlf_:

And IM = Instant Message, Met = a museum in New York, and SW = SJW just with the J removed... your point is?

Stern has had their pins at E3 before, so what does that look like? Stern's got E3 at E3? Too confusing, and E3 is something in Stern's orbit already, so it's a completely different scenario than the Met or Instant Messaging, which are very unlikely to end up in a pinball conversation with those machines or at all.

5.VUC shoots across the playfield into the trunk.

I was pretty close on item 2 (I thought it moved to the side instead of spinning) and item 3 (I speculated combination bash toy/lock), as well as item 5 (which others had pointed out as well).

I will probably get a Premium sometime next year after playing it. Playfield issues should be handled by then...

I’m pleasantly surprised that the VUK shooting the ball into the trunk on the left is actually real.

We could go back and forth, but I'm about to visit the Met, can you IM me about it later?

What's with the great art (seemingly side art) and the terrible Family Guy art on the backglass?

Yeah, not a fan of the rendition of her in the backglass. She's got that surprised look on her face and we can't see whats going on beneath her waist. Seems curious

It's ok, but none of it's great. The side art colors appears to clash with the back glass. It looks off to me. Im anxious to get a look at this game in person. It sounds like the game features are going to be awesome!! The mansion is one of the coolest looking toys I've ever seen.

I think by side art it was referring to the happy birthday drawing. That's a pretty decent image. The one on the bg looks kind of horrible, although the only pic I have seen so far is that low-res one so that's not the final judgment.

#1742 4 years ago

By the way the pinballs she is holding in her hand in the happy birthday pic LOL.

This is an Elvira drawing by Family Guy artist Wincat Alcala. They SHOULD have hired a Family Guy artist.

I think those represent testicles. Not sure if anyone caught that subtle reference.

That illustration (minus the Happy Birthday text) is part of the side art on the LE cabinet.
Which is the major reason I want an LE over a premium.

Yeah, the image of Elvira on the back glass looks out of place and honestly not that well drawn. The rest of the art on the glass looks pretty decent from what I can see. I think if they swapped out all the purple with that monster green they'd have a much better look imo. I wonder if the person that draws it decides on the colors too?

#1748 4 years ago
Quoted from Honch:

Child's play.

Some of those video games you see at Dave and Buster's are like $40,000 and up.

#1749 4 years ago

Any Distro's chiming in here?

#1750 4 years ago
Quoted from CrazyLevi:

Some of those video games you see at Dave and Buster's are like $40,000 and up.

Those games get away with that price because of the constant flow of dollars they bring in. Pinball, even in a good location, won’t bring in the money kiddie-gambling machines do. Also, no one is buying those games for home use.
