I could get past most everything except for the ramps. Not even close to what I would expect from Nordman. I was really looking forward to what he could come up with after the Boney Beast ramp and cover--this ain't it.

I picked up a BM66 Premium ~ 1 month ago. One of the best games ever made? Maybe one of the best theme integrations (with deep audio/video), but don’t see how it’s one of the best games ever made. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a cool effort and I don’t regret the purchase, but it just doesn’t have that “one more game” element that I get from my other games.

I can practically hear the 3D printers making ramp mods as I type this.

Bingo. And this one looks like it has MUCH more potential than Batman
There will be an SLE and pricing should be similar to BM66. We will know tomorrow
Supposedly ships in early October

It does. Get deeper into the game. It grows on you. 1 month is nothing

It's a bit of a clunk fest and that left side just looks well barren.
I'm liking what I see from Dennis. Hes a bit of a dreamer and loves his toys so while it's fun to project what this title might all do, I have total confidence in both Dennis and Lyman. Cant wait to see what this all does!
Quoted from wcbrandes:It's a bit of a clunk fest and that left side just looks well barren.
Looks are deceiving Billy
Gotta appreciate greatness
It’s a clunkfest if you suck and can’t hit the shots
And on BM66, that shouldn’t be an issue
Quoted from mnpinball:Mini wizard mode.

She still looks fabulous!!
Rob
B66 is objectively clunkier than other games. Doesn’t mean it’s not great, but that part is subjective. Not sure how one can argue this.

Quoted from Rockytop:I haven't been following the thread. Does anyone know what the house might do?
Reminds me of the castle in MM...just curious as to it's features. Ball lock is in a similar position to the lock on MM. It would be cool if the house was a multi staged toy like the castle, although it's not readily apparent what that might be.
I can tell you there is no interactive lighting in the windows since the pics are of the game turned off...

They said the same thing about TWD
“The Walking Dud”
It’s MUCH clunkier and more difficult than BM66
Really nothing clunky about it. Easy smooth shots
Elvira does not look like it would play “clunky”
Quoted from T7:Designer: Dennis Nordman

Ok, got it. So Dennis is Designer & Software is Lyman. So who is doing the code? Maybe I should ask Neil?

Nice find!
I'm excited for this game!!!
Nordman, Freres, and Sheats is an awesome combo!
Quoted from wcbrandes:It's a bit of a clunk fest and that left side just looks well barren.
LOTR is clunky
Deadpool is clunky
Plenty of AMAZING games are 'clunky' when you aren't completely dialed in. And - at least in games like BM66 and the aforementioned - you still can make those 'clunky' shots if you are a little off.
Okay... So, obviously I have to wait on the pricing to figure out which model I'm going to want to get, and even then it's possible I might take a pass on this. I would like to play it before I buy it. The only way I might not do so, is if the LE orders open up before the pinball Expo in Wheeling IL. That would force my hand to order the LE. But, the only way I'd get that is if it was reasonably priced... Which I doubt it would be. But, if it's priced like the Deadpool LE, then I'd consider buying it.
I really don't like the cab art for the premium. It's not horrible, but I'd like Elvira to be on the cab like how she is on the LE. I feel they did that on purpose to drive up the cost of the LE. No reason for the two different art packages to exist, or if they do exist, have two different poses for her.
And her pose on the LE is too similar to the cab art on Party Monsters. I feel this is also the worst Translite out of the whole trilogy of machines as well. And I feel like it is the worst playfield art as well.
Elvira is barely on the playfield and it just seems like Stern played it safe.
I think they purposely took out any sex appeal this game could have... With that all said... The playfield art looks good, and the game looks like it could be a fun shooter with an interesting ball lock... We'll see.
Now, I was thinking to myself about how important cab art and playfield art are. I love art and to me both art and theme matter. But, if you put your machines close to each other, you'll never really see much of the art. And as for playfield art... Once I start playing a game, I don't notice the art at all. I'm too focused on the ball, and tracking the lights and inserts, that I don't notice the art at all. Like can't see the forest for all the trees and all that jazz.
So realistically while I am a bit disappointed in the art package for the prem, I think where this game might shine is the animations, callouts, and tv clips.
Those are things that I do notice while I play and are more important. I think callouts might be more so than animations, as even with great animations, I tend to skip over those from time to time to just focus on the play.
So... I might consider a premium... Because hell... I always could re-vinyl the damn sides anyway. That would be a hell of a lot cheaper than buying a premium.
Quoted from EricHadley:This one is a easy no. I’m out
Not surprised. #metoo and i wont be buying. Stern really is just pumping these pins out, thus woodhardness and overall satisfaction suffers.

Don’t be afraid to give ALL your thoughts
Quoted from iceman44:Really nothing clunky about it.
That slow ass turntable is probably the clunkiest toy ever created and the bat signal shot clunks out about half the time you make it. Still a great game though.
Quoted from Diospinball:Elvira is barely on the playfield and it just seems like Stern played it safe.
Remember, this game is called Elvira's House of Horrors. The theme is more about the house and Elvira is merely the host/owner.
Elvira is only on the Scared Stiff playfield what, two times? And they're basically mirror image poses of each other. And she's nowhere on the SS cabinet.
I'm seeing at least 3 Elviras on the playfield. Near the crypt entrance, on the plastic above the side targets and in the top window of the house. I agree that more Elvira is always better but you need some balance with the theme elements.
EATPM admittedly has a LOT of Elviras on the playfield but that machine is *named* Elvira.
Quoted from iceman44:Robertwinter. Quit pretending you might not get one.
It’s a slam dunk 100% given you buy this one
Not a slam dunk for NIB. But yes, at *some* point I'll get one.
My EATPM was Cassandra's personal HUO game. And my SS was Dennis' sample game. Who knows where my EHOH will come from.

yea Ice, I tried and tried to get into this game and it just "felt" so clunky especially that turntable. The ramp seemed flimsy and the ball just seem to clunk all over the place. Maybe I'm that bad
Quoted from RobertWinter:Elvira is only on the Scared Stiff playfield what, two times? And they're basically mirror image poses of each other. And she's nowhere on the SS cabinet.
Right. So now is the time to go all-in on kickass Elvira art. Huge missed opportunity for fan service. A huge well-done Elvira on the PF would be insta-buy for me.

Umm... I'm not sure I follow?
Quoted from Tmezel:I think the VUK shoots it across the playfield to the chest[quoted image]
I wouldn't count on it.
I expect the plastic ramp to feed that flimsy chest, the three drops get dropped by VUK shot, once all three are down we have release.
You can see two clear rails on top of the chest btw.
Quoted from DerGoetz:I wouldn't count on it.

Looks like the chest then would lift up for a direct feed from the ramp. The chest has two rails on top allow movement of the chest.

Towards but doubtfully in...
Jacky launched barely into Aerosmith box and that was an easier launch.
Quoted from HighProtein:Towards but doubtfully in...

That Aerosmith mech wasn't that strong. It would be a much stronger coil launching the ball out of that scoop....in theory.
Funny you all think the ball is gonna shoot all the way across the playfield into a trunk lol.... it will head towards the drop targets to help open the trunk but that's it.
If they can reliably launch the ball that far across the playfield into the chest without breaking stuff I will be impressed.
Quoted from pickleric:If they can reliably launch the ball that far across the playfield into the chest without breaking stuff I will be impressed.
Houdini shot it reliably a LOT further into a better-constructed trunk.
Quoted from HighProtein:Says Targets open trunk....[quoted image]
Looks like three targets in front of the trunk so maybe no opening for balls coming from he VUK on the right. It seems unlikely but could it possibly launch balls through the air to land in the trunk from above, like Houdini?
Quoted from unigroove:Looks like not that many RGB LEDs on the playfield
Just the arrows like JP2 it seems
Quoted from PinMonk:Houdini shot it reliably a LOT further into a better-constructed trunk.
My Houdini mech was not reliable at all neither was the two I played on location.
