Yes, it is a double-edged sword. Not going online allows those at Expo to be directly vested and make it something 'special' comparable to a closed auction. But that absolutely means money is on the table, the logistics have been something I've worked through since setting it up a few years ago. A number of people last year were bidding for friends but that is a small faction.

Agree 100%. jellikit - anyway to do this for this set? I cancelled my reservations for Expo this year (my wife really wanted to see the Stern tour).
This set should raise quite a bit of $ and I suspect only a small percentage of the potential bidders will actually be at Expo.

Adding this photo here that I didn't put in this thread yet, which shows a bit more of the texture present in the recessed portions that further separates it from any other version (a dull, black glitter that results in a bit more of a stone texture, and higher quality look in general than the standard sets on close inspection).
And as no one has pointed it out yet, the binary on the lower lid translates to R-I-P (top to bottom).
EDIT: As I've temporarily changed the thread title, to avoid confusion for those unaware, these mods are permanently discontinued.

Totally worth bidding on for charity. Medisinyl's mods without a question are the highest quality pinball mods I've ever come across in 20 years of this hobby. Whatever Medisinyl makes in the future hands down is worth buying. Top notch work!

The Elvira mods weren't discontinued due to a lack of interest (nor were many others), and I gave the September notice over 6 months in advance to be as fair as possible.
They were in solid production for nearly three years.
Time is indeed the enemy, and something will have to change, as production lengths such as Stranger Things for each release wouldn't allow me enough time in my life to get to all of the projects I'd like to get to.
I do have one full time helper, and another part time at the moment, and that may increase where possible, though I prefer to keep it as small an operation as I can to maintain the expected quality...and my sanity 
I do hope to tackle some smaller projects in the meantime (or more limited [possibly Elwin Bond when I have access to one]).
I've given many reasons around the forum as to why mods have to be discontinued to move forward, and also, many have come to rely on that stance when purchasing second hand at some of the crazy prices I've seen (often 2-4x what I charged). I have to continue to be honest on my stance on discontinued mods, both for my own conscience, and to those that have come to trust it.
Some ideas have been on the backburner since 2017, so when time allows, I'll want to do something new, rather than go backwards.
The financial side is a necessary evil to continue (I'm very lucky and grateful for the support I've had), but it's not what motivates this awkward hermit
We love everything you do to bring more value and beauty to these games. I hope we’ll see what you’re cooking up for Halloween and any leftover ideas you have for Alice or Elvira. Can’t wait for what’s next. Love your support for the horror pins.

It was stated before it wasn’t that they didn’t sell but other projects are now offered to satisfy other game enhancements
They come up on the secondary market every now and then
