Is this another one of the stern home pins?
Quoted from TheFamilyArcade:That tiny little Elvira on the playfield is a joke. Sexiest character in the history of pinball needs a massive presence on the playfield.
Take that anyway you want.
Johnny Depp even got a bigger face on Pirates by JJP.
Quoted from rubberducks:Not sure if being ironic or not ... it looks ... EMPTY.
Was it my sarcastic tone or the eye roll at the end that hid my meaning? If I'm being misread I will need to know so I am even more_ sarcastic about the next completely empty game.

Emote wasn't showing up.
I agree, but one often sees dozens of similar posts on these threads that are not tongue in cheek at all ... hence my being unsure.
It's difficult to imagine how empty the Pro's going to be.

Ain't going to be a pro
Wouldn't it be something if Stern priced it at $4,995.00 an blew the competition out of the water?
They'd sell several thousand of them.

No Pro on this title.

This is the only complaint that will really hold up/ you can't neglect (since we've not seen what the toys/ the house does, if the game has lots of subways, will be free, what the code is etc. - so impressions still might wildly change).
Elvira is about... Elvira. And her... "Assets".
So where is she?
I get the "movie" theme the game has but she could at least be lieing on the couch, "moderating" things.
That would fit the theme.

She will on the LCD - hopefully in clips spanning her long career - both movies and her Horror Shows - cracking jokes and guiding you through the game play!
Hopefully Elvira 3 has tons of clips - just like Batman 66!
The old lady cleavage you guys long for is on the backbox. It's like, 10% tittie, just for you!
Shots look very tight, like some on GB. If Lyman makes stand-ups important, like war machine on IM, it will help with the frequent missed shots. Looks like it could be fun, but It appears to lack in originality. At least they put some models on the PF so it doesn't look as bare as BKSOR. If it has a real subway (we know it doesn't) it would be pretty decent for a non-Elwin Stern....

No doubt, but I like some art on the playfield nontheless.

With all the inserts or the playfield there is no room for a large pic of anything on the other hand nice pair on the back glass
Quoted from bigdaddy07:Looks like a good 5k pro level game. The problem is that it's likely to be more like 7.5k and up.
Yeah - No Pro model would be, or is a dirty shame.
Quoted from Skyemont:No way this is true. No damn way![quoted image]
Not true, dealers don’t even have info till tomorrow. No one will buy at that price.
Quoted from mnpinball:No Pro on this title.
They couldn't do a pro model of it. theirs not even enough there now for premium model. What would be pro, take out the ramps and the one drop target?
They had so many better options for a new pinball machine. Plus, if the the LE's seriously selling for $12,500...well, that's just pathetic.
I'm thinking the orbits look like they drop down?
Metal tongues on each side.
Perhaps not as bad as I was first thinking?
Count me double-d disappointed in Elvira artwork - it should have been ultra risqué and then put 2 pairs of blackout glasses in goody bag, for anyone offended.
Also over 2-flipper fan layouts, music themes, superheroes and pinball machines costing over $10k.
Quoted from Vongoosewink:Am I mistaken, or does the playfield have no pop bumpers?
More than enough room in back right area I'm sure they are there.
Quoted from Pinchild:More than enough room in back right area I'm sure they are there.
Thats what im thinking as well. Are real pics coming this week?
Quoted from Skyemont:Thats what im thinking as well. Are real pics coming this week?
I believe so.
I'm wondering if my orbit theory is solid?
Ramps look more than high enough.
So up middle ramp and out left/right just above orbit.
Definitely more than meets the eye. No Transformers pun intended.
If there is a ton of modes I might be down
My 13 year just pointed out "Dad Hobbit is open huge in the middle of playfield and you really enjoy that machine "
Yep he's correct
Quoted from Vongoosewink:Am I mistaken, or does the playfield have no pop bumpers?
If you look to the right of the right gargoyle by the house you will see a large standup target that is for the pops as I think it may be the only way it could be hit
Gary insists on the standard pops and the Italian bottom on every game. I think a "no pops" game could be a nice change of pace. Would also give designers 3 coils to work with in other areas/features.
Quoted from mnpinball:Not true, dealers don’t even have info till tomorrow. No one will buy at that price.
I'm guessing 8k premiums, 10k le's and 13k super le's or close
Quoted from Multiball33:I'm guessing 8k premiums, 10k le's and 13k super le's or close
Yikes

I've never heard this. What's an "Italian bottom?"
Quoted from ataritoday:What needs to be in the machine ?
Large skeleton covered ramp!!
Quoted from javagrind888:I've never heard this. What's an "Italian bottom?"
Stupid term for a standard bottom sling/outlane configuration
Quoted from TheLaw:Stupid term for a standard bottom sling/outlane configuration
Oh, other than Orbiter 1, I can't think of a pinball machine without this.
Quoted from javagrind888:Oh, other than Orbiter 1, I can't think of a pinball machine without this.
There are lots of exceptions out there especially in EMs, Gottlieb and Bally SS games, even JJPOTC is different.
Is there some confirmation this will be a Super LE tiered release? I don't see a KaPow logo on the leaked photos.
Quoted from javagrind888:I've never heard this. What's an "Italian bottom?"
I searched images for it on DuckDuckGo, Safe Surf off, and got images that I think don't relate to pinball
Seriously though: TheLaw answered it well.
Quoted from javagrind888:I've never heard this. What's an "Italian bottom?"
Italian bottom is the standard inlane/outlane with 2 flipper at the bottom in the standard configuration (as we know it today). Nordman deviated with WOF and I really enjoyed it, but you don't see anyone taking chances like that any longer. Mr. Stern doesn't want "different" in his games.
Quoted from javagrind888:Oh, other than Orbiter 1, I can't think of a pinball machine without this.
Space Station is the last example I can think of.
Quoted from Multiball33:I'm guessing 8k premiums, 10k le's and 13k super le's or close
If this is true, Stern just passed JJP price points.
Quoted from Swainer80:Space Station is the last example I can think of.
Wheel Of Fortune is the most recent game to deviate from it.
Quoted from jawjaw:Looks exactly like AFM except house instead of spaceship.
Yup, typical 7 shot fan layout that's been done over and over......, invent something new.

Spectrum?
John
Quoted from Dayhuff:Typical 7 shot fan layout that's been done over and over. Invent something new.
I usually respect and value your opinion on all things pinball. But I like the haunted mansion and deadhead family crypt and gargoyle leapers and other elements on this playfield, and to keep them all but shuffle their locations around just to avoid ending up with a fan layout could ruin the game's flow (or worse). And we don't even know yet if there are special functions (lift ramps or subways) incorporated in this layout. And the location of the VUK makes me think maybe we will see something new.
And if this game's fan layout ends up being as loved as AFM's fan layout I'd sure be okay with that.
Quoted from RC_like_the_cola:Wheel Of Fortune is the most recent game to deviate from it.
I assume you mean the most recent Stern game that deviates from it because JJPOTC would be the most recent game in general.
Quoted from bobukcat:I assume you mean the most recent Stern game that deviates from it because JJPOTC would be the most recent game in general.
Oh yeah. I forgot about that. A subtle deviation, but a good one. If I ever do a custom game, it'll have something unique down there.
Quoted from javagrind888:I've never heard this. What's an "Italian bottom?"
Sofia Loren has an Italian Bottom.
