I was listening to Casey Kasem's American Top 40 broadcast from 1988, and he mentioned that Elton John was auctioning off much of his stuff, including a pinball machine. It was a Sotheby's auction, but I haven't been able to find any auction results that mentioned its' sale price. I did find a picture that shows him in front of a home version of the game, but I'm pretty sure he had at least one of the commercial pins. I've read that he had one shipped to his Mother's house when they were new.

It would be cool to find out who owns it and what it went for. That is all. Carry on...

I went to an auction in Melbourne 10 years ago, there was the home version there. it was stated to be Eltons personal game
but I will admit the seller was know to stretch the truth

I've had a hard time finding auction results for anything (pinball or not) online prior to about 2007 unless it was published in a newspaper/periodical that was later digitized.

Ya, it’s amazing how much information from before the internet’s time is just lost to history, yet so many people assume that the internet has all the answers.

What did we do before the Internet? It’s amazing how quickly we forget.
