No way. I would rather a Michael Jackson pin. Thriller edition with zombies would be insane
Too controversial for all the woke community.

Here ya go "Moon Walking-Dead"

Just no.

Maybe it's a code name for Harry Potter? Because Steve Ritchie said HP is his dream theme, and he looks like Hagrid, and Elton John is British and also gay, like Daniel Radcliffe, who plays Harry Potter.

Open and shut case, right?

Quoted from curban:

I sorta disagree with this view. EJ wrote the music…Bernie the lyrics…but then EJ performed everything and made the music & lyrics the hits they are. IMO EJ gets 98%+ credit.

Nah, I saw Elton John without the band and it was not the same. Love the man, but without the band he is just a really good piano player.

I am primarily a hard rock, classic rock, and heavy metal fan, but I am not afraid to admit I like Elton John's music. In any case, I think JJP needs to seriously consider going back to their previous pricing strategy or they will find themselves in trouble with sales. $12-$13K CE, $9.5K LE, and $8k Standard. Maybe, they will surprise us with Billy Joel, Motley Crue, or Van Halen? I personally think VH and Motley Crue are slam dunks.

Pg 2 of the thread, and not one mention of his cover version of The Who’s Pinball Wizard? Interesting.......

I really like Elton John's music and I love pinball. I own a few machines as well. Definitely not interested in purchasing an Elton John Pin. IMO JJP hit out of the park with GnR with Slash's help, minus the Mirco playfield problems. After Toy Story I am not confident they would be able to do this new Pin justice.

It might not be a popular theme here but world wide the appeal of fast and furious is massive!

It’s a billion dollar franchise and Steve Ritchie with a fast paced, fossil fuelled theme always produces greatness.

Give the man fast and furious, give him top gun maverick, not bloody Elton John!

Elton John pinball machine?

Good music. I would NOT be interested in a EJ game as a theme, even if it played really good. Personally i feel it would be Blah!

As much as I hate sports jargon, I agree that with the artist's full cooperation, any music pin would certainly 'knock it out the park'.

My guess is you missed the early 70’s.

I for one, didn't miss the early 70's. I just don't feel the need to go back!

Saw Elton in Vegas a couple of months ago. I've always been a big fan and the concert was amazing.

Having said that....nope. Not interested in a EJ pin.

#63 1 year ago

My only complaint is that if JJP makes it, it means the wife gets a CE. And I have to sell something.

That would then make it two themes I could not care less about!

After Iron Maiden anything is possible.

Yes, but that game is great deapite the theme, not because of it. But... you have a point.

How about Captain and Tenille?

Quoted from Methos:

How about Captain and Tenille?

Well, only one Captain for now.
Looks like people would like it to stay that way.

Quoted from mrm_4:

Of course JJP would do it. A third recycled theme would lock them in as the theme copy cats of the hobby. Still looking forward to JJPs release of the following:
JJP Houdini
JJP Hook
JJP Mario Andretti
JJP Primus
JJP Rush
All of those are just helping fund the big project though. Once they sell all those and can afford a super theme they’ll redeem themselves and release Home Alone!!!!
But like I said in the other now locked thread about that one guy…
It’ll be Home Alone 4

Going to high school and college in the 70's, there was nothing like Elton John. His early stuff from this time period is by far the best.

But a pinball machine? Dear God, no!

#72 1 year ago

No for me on Elton John. Ok background music when waiting at the Dentist office, but that's about it for me. Easy pass.

#73 1 year ago
Quoted from Electrocute:

His 2 best songs are Madman Across the Water and Funeral for a Friend/ Love Lies Bleeding.

Partial to “Grey Seal” myself, but 10000% agree on Funeral/Love Lies Bleeding

Cmon JJP if you want to actually sell a few games give Ritchie some speed!

So Elton John flying an old F14 is a no go?

#76 1 year ago

Doesn't jump out at me but I'd give it a shot.

When it comes to JJP that might actually be a legitimate theme. I just think after TS4 wasn’t the sales juggernaut it should have been they could do with a licence that’s red hot right now and who wouldn’t want a follow up to f14 it’s one of Ritchies fastest and best games.

I think the Captain Fantastic ship has sailed. How about a Bread machine? Get it? Or Lobo. Or Toto. Or Pablo Cruise. Or...............

Ordering my CE today… Everyone has a right to their own opinion. I grew up with his music, love the topper. There is not another one like it. I played the game at expo. It shoots butter smooth. I believe that all the negativity comes from their latest titles. Shame that they took on Toy Story, and the God Father. I am only hoping the build quality will be better than the last two.

I have worked on these pins at location, they should not be Arcade use. HUO is the better choice for JJP pins.

This thread is pure gold.

The nay sayers will eat their hat on this one!!!

Don't judge a game before playing it.

This game will be top #3 of all time.

I just played 15 games of Elton John premium and then I watched many people play after me for an hour. Not sure I have ever seen people smile that big after a pinball game.

#83 57 days ago

Even Elton thinks the price is too high.

When are you gonna come down?
When are you going to land?

Agree with that statement. Can’t wait to get mine

I’m curious if those who own EJ also owned GNR. People seem blown away by lighting effects in this game again - but wonder if it’s too similar? Thanks
