Has anyone done stencils yet?
Looking great hellfire. When installing my middle one I noticed my same plastic is broken aswell. Just falls a half inch short of the middle plastic. Ahhhh another one on the list of plastics I need.
Looks like when the guys lifting the playfeild used to snap these off when doing repair works.
So any body out there that has a shooter lane plastic for sale. I'm your man.
Could be worse these are the plastics i had on my machine when i bought it. I got lucky got a parts playfield a couple years later i got some of the plastics that were busted and alot prolly got busted getting moved around a operators store room before i got it but slow but sure Ive replaced some of them.
yeah i think raising and lowering the playfield ruined the top ones its a heavier etc and binds against the back panel. Im going to make a metal trim to go over the back edge to protect the plastics when this happens.elek up.jpg second pic here was with some replaced and the broken uppers i salvaged from the parts playfield not great but was better than what i had elek up2.jpg
I'm thinking making that metal cover aswell. Bit of stainless folded at 90 degrees 5 mm over the top and longer at the back and screw it in.
Ide prolly go with 10-12mm it will still be hidden then run your plastics screws through it they did that on mr&ms pacmans.
If you haven't already, be sure to check out Aladin's purchase and restore threads:

Here's a great link to a TNT refurb pin- they did a really nice job on this one and I'll use this video as a reference point.
It appears that Medusa uses the same clear targets. Huh, this must be a RARE game! Now I'll sell mine on EBay for thousands!
Yeah good luck they been there already for a year or so lol.
The game isnt overly rare it has a production number up in the 3000s just parts are unobtainable and it didnt get alot of love becouse people didnt like the fact it didnt have pop bumpers and drop target banks. but it is actualy a good game with a good ruleset, but with parts issues i passed on ones for a good deal just becouse no parts cam be purchased for them esp plastics.
Not all elektra's had the clear targets just the early part of the run
Throwing this Pinside link in here for reference:
http://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/bally-transparent-targets-what-machines-used-them
If they make solid color replacement targets, why not load the mold up with transparent plastic?
They do NOT still make these plasit 1 piece targets any longer the ones BAA has are only NOS they came across somehow, i bought out their orange ones years ago. once they sell the opaque ones that will be it. the tooling has been lost and ive been inquiring for years myself they arent being made. Say something to Marco they might spring for a mold i they get enough requests prolly only chance of them ever getting produced again.
Never noticed the fingers on the lower playfeild before. Every time I look at the machine I notice something else.
I like the art on the lower playfeild looks great.
471708_414679161875857_257110913_o.jpgYeah i regret now not repainting the white area around the fingers as well but i can sand the clear and repaint that area when i restore the machine. i did the hands, face and the elektra word entirely along with the obvious red yellow black etc.
I have big plans for this machine if i can ever get all the parts im gonna pimp it out and make a dark neon version like i did with my Xenon. Im almost caught up with costomer restorations should be done this with em all this year then i can go back to beloved mods and pimping machines out again. pics are kinda during progress but in the end i replaced all the trans orange posts and parts with FL green hand made ones.
i sold the xenon but have a playfield preordered from cpr and am going to build a better one again also plan on doing the same to my elektra and embryon.324896_326501260693648_680139619_o.jpg40568_155043191172790_2161705_n.jpg474149_414749118535528_962739371_o.jpg471708_414679155209191_1869707342_o.jpg471708_414679168542523_1767482557_o.jpg
i wasnt on Pinside when i built the machine but someone else started a thread here when they saw it on Ebay.

But it sold Xenon for $3800+ shipping at the end of the day My second Embryon just sold yesterday I showed in the in the Embryon owners club.

Yeah I'm thinking the same made stencils for the top. But took alot of time will be interested to watch you do yours and the colour choice.
Hi guys got all my boards back connected them up all seems good. Had a few little issues with sounds, programming issues. now I have an issue with the flippers scoring points when fired.

Still no lower playfield tho. Even after board repairs.
Quoted from vanhos:Guys any body able to help me out with missing pages in elektra manual.

Have you checked the switch adjustments. You might have a switch that's real sensitive and when you flip the flippers it's making the switch activate from the vibrations. Listen to the sound that is being scored. And then check to find the same sound. Look at switch adjustment. Hope it helps. For the lower you have to have Elektra units to get to play on it.
Yeah I get the elektra units. When in lower playfield mode all lights turn off on all of the machine and just the middle and upper flippers work.
Then I think you have a relay not working properly. It should switch. Lift up the playfield and look under there. I think if I remember there is a light bulb that goes to nothing, it's not under an insert or anything. It's just setting under there and I think it needs a good bulb in it to work the relay. I'm kinda guessing so I could be completely wrong. Hopefully someone else will chime in and help you.
Yeah done the following.
Changed the 555 globe.
Changed the triacs.
Relay has been tested works fine.
Few options left change the connector on the cables going to the relay board.
Spend a bit of time on checking all the wiring related to the issue. Looks like some one has been in there before fluffing around.
I have a issue with my lower playfeild if any of you guys can help would be great.

Love some pics
Quoted from clodbusterguy:I just bought my old Elektra back, awesome original surviver. Hasn`t been beat on too bad.....
Always nice to see what others look like. I am due to change the rubbers thinking of doing a yellow or blue. I have noticed not every machine is the same.
Just wondering can some one do a globe test on there machine. I have my lower playfield working now and I want to no if the lower playfield and upper playfield globes all light up together including the sound of the relay under the playfield. is the relay clicking away in time with the globes.
My local coin op company still has elektras on route and wont sell them i tried for years to find one and I just picked up a nice elektra and love it a couple days later picked up another one for parts with a blown out upper playfield definitely a keeper for me
Jimster, got any parts to spare?
I just picked one up as well. The lower playfield looks to be completely touched up by hand, but it doesn't look too great. Cabinet art is fine, but the cabinet is rough. Also missing some plastics. It plays well enough, though. I haven't quite wrapped my head around what I'm supposed to be doing though.
I am probably going to keep the two machines together for now they both are fully working machines at the moment and eventually use the best parts and restore mine..I can talk to my local operator again I know he has a complete elektra less the circuit boards sitting in his warehouse..

For sure jimster word him up see if he will part out those plastics. Dibs on the shooter lane plastic!!!!!!! Check the upper playfeild on it and the targets see if there original few guys on here would love them too.
I could use some plastics and a lower playfield. Mine looks like it was repainted by an amateur. Not bad, probably better than what I could do, but it's not great either.
I wish there were some good scans or overlays I could use.

yes the relay should click with the light test this is normal since its controlled with a light board transistor.

I think i have a one or 2 good basement playfiled plastics and 1 slingshot somewhere might be able to help you out with some
Yeah is someone is parting out a playfield even though the guy sounds like he wont Ide be interested in purchasing a perfect top left and a top center plastic just for the record.
Thank you, but I'm actually good on those plastics. I meant that I would like a new lower playfield itself, but the plastics on that part are fine. I can deal with the lower playfield, it just looks... off. Handpainted, the face is a little goofy.
My main broken plastics are the ones by the upper left flipper in between the star rollovers and also half the shooter lane is missing. The other ones have some cracks, but I can deal with that.
