Quoted from RazerX:What does $99 USD get you? Is that for a single unit? I really like the concept but that price point is cost prohibitive, IMO. I could be wrong but the market will decide. The price would need to come way down. I couldn't consider even spending close to half that to replace what is already free and functioning pretty well albeit slightly more labor intensive.
I agree. How many do I have to buy for it to be $30 USD? I would buy 10 of them if the price made sense. At $100 each, it just doesn't make sense.
To address some other questions about why, it really comes down to the competitive player, competitive observer, and streaming tournaments.
Those types of players do not always translate well to a pinball forum but in this case, the people who need the product would buy it. It's just a tad bit cost prohibitive.
If you need someone to test this, shoot me a PM and I could try to incorporate it in to some local streams/tournaments.
