Hey guys, finally getting around to ordering parts to fix the board on my f14 tomcat. Looking at replacing some resistors, transistors, diodes, and these three components that I’m not sure what they are. I think they are diodes but want to make sure and if anyone has what rating they are that would be awesome. It is zr5,6,3 on the upper right side of board. Pic included. Thanks guys.

    They are 1N5234, 6.2V / 0.5W zener diodes.

So are all three the exact same diode? And thanks for your help.

Yes, all six diodes ZR3-ZR8 are 1N5234 zeners.

I would be wondering what made those fail in the 1st place...

Not sure but as you can see by the board it got toasty, and going to try fixing this one and replacing the coil. I’m going through the whole board and these three diodes looked a little brown so just gonna replace.

    Sweet thanks for the help.

And I’ll be replacing the diodes on the coil and I got some before and can’t remember what they were rated at. Do you happen to know?

    1N4004 or 1N4007

Will either one suffice or are they specific to a coil?

    Either one works great.

Looks like a shitty solder job and not bad components for those 3. Wouldn't you rather put a meter to your board than a 700 degree soldering iron?

I’d have to put a “700 degree soldering iron” to the board to remove at least one of the terminals of the resistors I need to replace or these diodes to see if they are bad with a meter. Why waste all that time and still have a 30+ year old component in the machine when it’s already halfway off? Plus then I can fix the “shitty soldering job”. Trying to fix the board not leave it in its state.

What about these components. Both look a little brown on the corner. I looked up the number and nothing came up.

They are bussed resistor packs. 4.7k ohms.

    Sweet found them. Thanks
