I got lucky on my EBD playfield. Only some minor touchups needed when I bought it last year but some pretty bad cupping in a few inserts. I put a playfield protector in a couple months ago - cupping issues are now well hidden, ball trajectory is smooth and true, and it gives off that nice clearcoat sheen. I know a lot people don't like the protectors, but I've become a fan.

Can't agree more. I was really nervous at the thought of cutting wires and re-pinning them into new connectors, but I got over it by spending a couple of hours with a ratchet crimper, spare wire, and a bunch of pins before doing the actual work on my machine. It's kinda fun after you get the hang of it, but really tedious doing hundreds of wires. I just lowered my "speed" expectations and committed to doing 2 connectors a day instead of trying to knock it all out in one session. Saved on my back as well, hovering over the cabinet. At one point was thinking about removing the entire harness set from the cabinet and doing the work sitting comfortably at my work bench.

Good luck with the power on! The inside of your cab looks nice and clean - puts mine to shame.
