Anyone have an extra one of these plastic peices they would get rid of? Doesn't have to be new. Just something to get me by until cpr releases another run and I do a restore. Thanks.

Quoted from Bohdi:

Don't have that plastic, sorry

Thanks for checking! If anyone else has one let me know! Thanks

Quoted from CactusJack:

Don't forget LEDs don't play nice with original Bally LDB and remember EBD has an Aux driver board for things like the deluxe back glass letters and special GI.
So be prepared for after market driver boards, or adding 470 ohm resistors to every socket or buying after market resistor load boards to stop flicker.

To run the leds in the inserts do you need just the main board from alltek or the aux too?

I’ve got a second hand one, but postage from Australia might it not worthwhile orangegsx

I had another member pm me about one in the US. Thanks though I appreciate it!

Quoted from Beemus:

? For u EBD disciples. I love SS Bally’s but have limited time on EBD. It kicked my ass on location 11 years ago and haven’t come across one since. Taking another look at it now, it looks like the upper flipper might be for suckers and possibly contribute to the brutality I experienced. The thought being side-to-side shot from upper flipper leads to slings. Slings lead to outlanes. Outlanes lead to suffering.
It appears everything is accessible from lower flips. Question:is upper flipper necessary or am I talking out my azz?

Upper flipper can be a one way ticket to the right outlane, or a two way ticket to the left outlane.

I use the upper flipper to guide the ball down the right flipper when it's rolling slow and sometimes get the eight ball. If its rolling slow you can knock down a few balls with it but it's risky.

The game will always be tough but nothing feels better than a good run on EBD.

If anyone has a worn playfield, look into these hardtops... and cast your vote for eight ball deluxe to be produced!

My eight ball deluxe did something weird today. knocked down the 8 ball with 2-3 other drops down, shot the ball into the saucer, the bonus added up, but the machine reset the drops instead of kicking the ball back out of the saucer. It only did this three or four times messing with it after. About the same time this was going on it failed to kick the ball into the shooter lane as well. Heard the coil go but no ball came out. Any ideas?

Last night I have the playfield up to replace some bulbs, shouldn't have messed anything up. I hope

Quoted from tenjuna:

I must have pleased the pinball gods, as I scored a 1981 EBD for $300 over the weekend. Definitely in player's condition, will need a new playfield at some point, but otherwise in fair condition. I figured it needed a new rectifier board, but in an even greater stroke of luck it was literally a fuse. Plays perfectly fine.
Will be doing a mild restore on it besides the playfield which will need replaced or maybe CPR will do a reprint on it when they get that service going.

Congrats, Sounds about like mine. I’m hoping the hardtop comes out soon!

Quoted from g94:

I think there are two suppliers who made these replacements.
I had bought a set when I got the game and these broke off as well. Exactly like described above.
During my restoration last year I bought another set from another supplier. These are perfect and don't break.

I need to buy a set too. I bought all the other parts for my future restoration. I noticed some of the caps sold have screw holes in them. Is this original or are they just screening the graphics on some generic ones that had screw holes already?
