Just finished rebuilding a rectifier board for my EBD project and looking at the manual the part numbers for the 3/4, 4, 5 and 20 amp fuses all come back as fast blow fuses.

Just wanted to confirm that this was correct before going out and buying some as I only have slow blow on hand. Can anyone confirm for me that this is accurate? Thank you!

Quoted from Mathazar:

Here's what I use in my EBD....[quoted image]

Beautiful, thank you!

While I'm here bugging people...any EBD LE owners have a good LED bulb recommendation for the backbox? Having trouble finding the right bulb at Lowes, etc. I prefer a brighter cool white if possible.

Quoted from mbeardsley:

Do you mean a florescent bulb, or an actual LED that will fit where the florescent bulb goes?

I'd like to replace the (dead) florescent one that came in my game with an LED bulb. I was looking for the same bulb number in an LED version and wasn't having much luck at the box box places.

Quoted from Quench:

That fuse kit has the wrong speed types for the high voltage circuit. Both the 3/4A and 3/16A fuses should be fast blow, not slow blow fuses.

Thanks, I had a buddy check his and they are all indeed fast in the rectifier.

Quoted from mbeardsley:

Seems like this would work...unfortunately they seem to only come in a four pack.

I may order a set of these myself.

If these are 12", that seems like they would be too long, no?

While I'm blowing this thread up today, anyone have any experience with this repro squak and talk board?

Is there a way to adjust how low the drop targets will go (or am I an idiot and missing it...totally possible ha)? My drops in the right bank sit slightly above the pf when they are down and the ball usually hits them and doesn't make it to the stand up targets behind them as a result. Anything I can look at for this? Thanks!

Quoted from Mathazar:

Yes, but it depends on what EBD you have (original '81 or the reissues in '83/LE and '84/Classic). If you have the '84, target height adjustment is simple....I posted how to do that a few weeks back in this thread (with photos). For the '81, you'd probably need to use shims between the mech and the bottom of the playfield to lower the tops of the targets. Not sure what mech the '83 LE has....

I have the LE. It doesn't look like the plates on the mech have any adjustable holes to slide the stop plate lower. The shims is a good idea though, some washers or something could work fine.

Quoted from KSUWildcatFan:

It's weird, I have an 81 and mine sits low. So I guess I need to do the padded foam/tape under the edges of the targets so that neutral position has them raised up slightly. Not sure why yours would be that raised, I almost wonder if something is keeping the mech from dropping fully (bad coil sleeve, etc)

I went and found the pic from Mathazar and it looks like there might be some adjustments under the plate with the switches. I need to check and see if mine does or not.

Anyone know where you can get a replacement of the leaf switch under the star roll over? I think the original part number was ASW-A1-152 but can't find one in stock for the life of me. Assuming this can't be the only switch that will work here but hoping someone has ran into this and knows of a suitable replacement. Thanks!

Quoted from Mathazar:

If you can't find a replacement switch or want to move on to something more reliable and requiring "no" tuning at all, I highly recommend MRS (Magnetic Reed Switches) for rollovers. I have one in my EBD and three in my Meteor....they work so well.

It's basically the same as the slingshot switch. Try this one, https://www.marcospecialties.com/pinball-parts/SW-1A-120

Rock on - thanks!

Just wanted to close the loop if anyone ended up searching for this same issue down the road, this switch worked out great, thanks for the suggestion.
