I'm getting my Eight Ball Deluxe set back up after having it in storage for about 14 years. I removed the bolts and ball and stored them in a safe place. So safe, in fact, I can't find them. In another thread, I saw the size of the leg bolts (3/8-16, 2.5 inch), which I bought and attached. I don't know the size of the bolts for the back box. Any ideas?

One of the reasons I had this in storage for so long was that right before we moved from our old house, I realized that the thing never had the proper grounding plug. The plan was to get everything moved, and find someone to replace the cord. I have zero hardware skills, and wouldn't know the first thing of where to ground the thing, or how to do it. In your experience, can an electrician do this, or should I see if I can get an expert to handle this?

One last thing: Is there anything I should be particularly careful of before turning on this machine after all this time? I looked inside and nothing stared, back so there's that.

Any info you can provide would be greatly appreciated!

I looked at the cord, and there's an area on it that appears to be melted through, so I don't think cutting off the plug is going to work. I can probably cut the cord to get rid of the melted area, but there would still be a lingering question in my mind about why it melted in the first place. (I don't know if it happened before I had the machine, after, or what.

So, I'd like to replace the whole cord. I can't solder this myself, since I'm really terrible at soldering things. There is no pinball repair place in my area, at least that makes home calls.

Is an electrician the right person to do this, or should I try and find someone else?

Any recommendations on what to do?
