Quoted from phillyfan64:the outhole kicker definitely has an issue with kicking the ball out. I have the apron off and I saw it fire and the ball only went an inch or two and came back down. Coil fired again to launch the ball. Not sure what’s causing that issue.
Check all of the coils in the red box below and make sure they have two diodes on them. These coils are bank switched by the solenoid expander board, which is necessary when the game has more coils than the driver board was designed for.
If one was replaced with a single diode coil, then when that coil fires, current will flow through a coil on the opposite bank and both coils will fire. This will result in one or both coils being weak. It can also damage the driver board due to the current flow being greater than the components were designed for.
If you find and replace an incorrect coil you may also have to replace the associated components on the driver board. This could also explain why your playfield was overfused.
