Eight Ball is on my list. Played the heck out of it in an Aladdin's Castle back in the late 70s. I'm always too late when one comes up for sale in my area. Some day....
I have been looking for an Eight Ball for a long time. I can never seem to find one in my area. Ugh!
Quoted from Ballypalooza:Your location is hidden. It would help if people at least knew what area you are from
I'm in Alabama For a really nice machine, I would be willing to travel to any contiguous state and even up into Kentucky (family there) and southern IN & IL. I spent many a quarter at my local Aladdin's Castle in Kentucky playing an Eight Ball when it first came out.
I didn't know my location was hidden. I can see it on my posts - but maybe it's just not public. I'll change that.
Fairly new Eight Ball owner. Today, after doing some LED replacements (with the power off ) I turned the machine on, and everything lit up, but the machine doesn't "boot," the displays don't light, nor do the chimes fire up. Any ideas what I may have done?
Found it. Fuse F4 was blown. I checked continuity whilst still installed. Popped them out one by one and F4 was blown as heck! Thanks for the help folks. "Pinky" is back in business!
Newb Eight Ball owner back again. One of my flippers sags. I've tightened the allen screws, and it'll keep for a bit, but will eventually sag again. Tips?
Almost a year in on my Eight Ball ownership. I have somewhat of a newbie tech question concerning "High Score to Date." In attract mode I see where the "High Score" lamps light up and the display shows the best score to date. If I beat that score, the high score to date will show that new score, until I power off my machine. Then it reverts to the previously listed high score. Any ideas why it may not be keeping the updated (new) high score? Could it be a battery thing or a dip-switch setting? I can't seem to figure it out using the settings in the manual.
