I wouldn't use those bifurcated edge connector pins just because there's less surface area that can make contact.
On edge connectors, yes 08-50-0108 can be used, but keep in mind that those are for smaller diameter (22-26 AWG) wire. Most wire used in pins is a larger diameter (18-22 AWG). It would be better to use 08-50-0106-C instead.
Then for header pins, it's usually best to use Trifurcon pins 08-52-0113, so 3 sides of the connector pin are touching the header pin, rather than just one side.
Thanks for the quick reply. Do you think I should re-pin the connectors I used the bifurcated pins on? I realized too late I had the wrong ones. Waiting on my pascal board to show up so i thought I would get ahead of it.
Don't confuse these with the bifurcated pins used on the double sided edge connectors.
08-50-0116 is actually intended for use with the single sided edge connectors.
These contacts are intended for use with 18-20AWG wire sizes.
Those are fine. Press on.
