Very sad day for sure. I saw VH 7 times, only one of which was with Sammy. I dug through my old photos and scanned them in for you guys. Many of my best ones were lost over the years but here are some I took in Beaumont, TX in 1980. Also the album I got signed back stage. When I shook Eddies hand it was like his fingers were seven inches long! I saw them one week before in Shreveport and remember seeing EVH and Valerie Bertinelli walking back stage holding hands. Very cool times for me being only 16 at the time.

I was extremely lucky. Saw them twice in one week and it didn't cost me a dime. I was a freshmen in HS and my friend won a radio promo to see the show and meet the band backstage. We lived in Shreveport. Well, we saw the show but there was a mix-up and we were not allowed backstage. My friend called the radio station and raised hell, so to make it up to us, they offered us the same thing the following week in Beaumont. That's where the magic happened!
