I was surprised to receive an update code for WOZ today. I picked up my proto around Christmas and it was running 42P with Thur's new update, WOZ will be running 49P This pin is set up for FREE play at Lark Amusements in downtown Bristol Tn/Va if anyone is local and would like to see the update process in person, we will be doing so between 3 and 4pm Thursday. I take plenty of pics and video. Here some pics of the inside of the pin and the update drive itself, Also in the box was the new stronger coil for the vertical up kicker discovered after more testing by JJP. PM me or call Ronnie at 423-764-8383 for more info, you dont have to order to play.

I just got back in, no school today but they tried to have school with a 2 hour snow delay before cancelling. This put me a little behind, plus I was puzzled how to get the image on the tv correct, remember this is a prototype. The best news is I lost more time playing as all of a sudden its 7pm. I have a little video as I didnt have enough memory on my card. Pics will be up soon, got to get the kids in bed in case of school Fri and grab a quick something to eat.

Thanks again for looking!

Quoted from Snowdale:

Maybe it still plays like its always played.

It flips the same way but looks and sounds better. 47P not 49P

#35 11 years ago

Remember this is for the prototype not the finished pins that you own, but here is the progress.

Playfield after 46 days, the playfield is so smooth even on the edges. Playfield sits nicely on rails

The hand is added for scale, learned this from Finding Bigfoot so everyone can see the size of the boards.

Quoted from txstargazer3:

Thank you for the beautiful shots! It looks quite impressive.

Your welcome. I wished between the memory card space, low battery and figuring out how to flip the HD TV I didnt get as many pics as I wanted or could have.

I upload the video to my you tube soon with some of the new music.

Quoted from jarjarisgod:

According to the screen, you're missing 2P... Where'd they go???
Thanks for the pics. Nice to see new views of this pin. I'm looking forward to mine showing up eventually, but not looking forward to lifting it.

It is heavy and to get these pics I had to move Roadshow, another heavy pin but the cabinet is built so well. I wished they were all as light as Ironman as I have moved four of them the last month and they seem so easy. WOZ pin will move again to the Lousiville Expo in March, then to Kingsport showroom for rest of the month. WOZ will also be in Winston Salem for the www.auctiongamesales.com Feb event before the other moves and is still set up at Lark Amusements in Bristol. New ACDC Premiums will be in stock soon so call on them if you missed out.

One of the few flyers left as everyone who comes in wants one. Another picture of the real playfield. The lighting changed with the update.

#55 11 years ago

Pictures of the magnets and underside of playfield.

More magnets, which added to the fun and play of the pin. I am excited and not just because I am proud to sell his products but of the fun. Its nice to see total strangers enjoy the pin as the eye catching graphics do bring people in. They may end up putting a deposit on ACDC or eave today with another used pin but once these are in stock these will sell.

I know everyone has heard it before but in case you have not seen the attention to detail here some more pictures of the quality of WOZ.

No fluorescent light bulb in the backbox. Nice LED bulbs and of course that big HD TV, sort of like a big color DMD but better.

Some code enhancements I remember, you have to hit the middle target three times to gain upper left playfield access, mutiball was more detailed but in the great conspiracy theories debate I ran out of space and battery and had to get back home before tonights snow. I do like to take pics and have all my life from old film Nikons to newer Sony and now Cannon, but video is new to me and I do not claim to be good at it. Never was lucky enough to have a reason to video anything anyway.

On a sales note:

I will have Invisiglass, pinball side mirrors and Stern shaker motors all on sale and can bring in advance with no shipping to the sale.

Stern shaker motors will be on sale for 160

Quoted from pindome:

Thanks for taking the time to post such a nice report. If you find some more time maybe you can tell us what is new with this update. You mentioned new music maybe new animation too?

I was trying to do as a recap as some people have never seen anything at all.

The videos will hopefully show some of the update, the pictures can not but can show the total progress from begining.

I am only watching the snow here at home so its nice to sit and not get up tomorrow and share the pics. I really didnt get to see the animations, thats why I was hoping a local Pinhead would turn out to help video and I could watch the play. Ronnie had to go eat with his wife for dinner leaving me a good 45 minutes alone but I was having fun playing her. That might be the only downside to the LCD or really any of them except for Circus Voltaire, it hard to see it all and still keep ball in play.

Quoted from PW79:

Buddy this is a damn fine WOZ post/thread.
Not once did you bash Stern or crucify those who are not preordering. You simply posted some good pics, made some good points & look at us all 2 pages in a WOZ thread with zero arguments.
It looks good, I like the menu system for sure.

The individual test menu for each bulb was exciting, it would light and show it on the LCD. Ronnie and I loved that as pin tech geeks.

Quoted from Erik:

If you can bring a Stern shaker to Louisville I'll take one

Done! I have them in the box truck. Even if I sell them all at Winston Salem I have more before March.

Thanks
Buddy

Thanks DOUGHSLINGERS , it will be great next Saturday to play WOZ again . Compare the change since I was there. Can't wait for you to bring mine!

I am looking forward to that also. I am open to some trades if you have something getting old to you. Next weekend would be a great time to trade some pins!
