I'm repainting my 1981 eight ball deluxe and a flash Gordon cabinets. Curious to what colors are used to get the closest match to original colors.

I just painted my EBD and used Rustoleum Enamel Semi Gloss Black, Gloss Tuscan Sun and Gloss Ivory (white can). I rolled the black on the main cabinet with a 4" foam cabinet roller and used the spray cans for the rest. I would suggest allowing each color to dry 2 days. Make sure once you get the stencils on for each color to lightly sand the areas on the stencil (I used 120 grit) to give a good surface for the next color to attach. Spray light coat on front, light coat on left, light coat on right, repeat, let sit for 10 minutes, remove stencil. Came out amazing. Interestingly enough, Flash Gordon for me is next on the list. As someone else suggested you can email Jeff at Pinball Pimp, he is pretty helpful.
