I think ebay is being forced to change these rules because of the idiots that buy on ebay and try to scam free money. It's unfortunate, but necessary. If you don't agree with the rules, just don't use them, that simple. I rarely use ebay these days, unless I get no traction locally with craigslist.
Oh the good old days of ebay, when you could actually pay with money orders and not get double charged with paypal.
