Hello,
I'm having an issue with my Elvira and the Party Monsters right flipper. I'm not all familiar with this era of game and I'm hoping for some help.
As soon as the right flipper is flipped it stays locked in the up position. I think it's only hold power that stays energized and not the full as it isn't melting the coil down. I normally think this would be a transistor issue but from what I'm seeing in the schematics there is no transistor for the flippers but I may be missing something.

What I've tried so far:
Clean & regapped the leaf switch for the flipper button in the cabinet.
Cut the pancake cap away from cabinet switch.
Installed a new coil to no effect, replaced with original afterwards.
Cleaned and regapped eos switch.
Flipper was rebuilt about a year ago w new stops, plunger, resistor, eos and was fine til yesterday.

Any help is much appreciated, thanks in advance

Thank you both for the quick response. I should have added in my original post that as soon as the power is turned off the flipper drops to rest position so it's def not a magnetized coil stop. It won't autimatically lock into the up position when the game is first turned on either, I have to either push the flipper button or lift it by hand and it will stay in the up position. When it's held in the up position I can feel the vibration when touching the top of the flipper from the coil pulsing so it's definitely an electrical issue.
@slochar:

Quoted from slochar:

If you kill the power to the game when it locks on, does it drop?

Yes once power is off the flipper will automatically drop

Quoted from slochar:

Is the pawl going past the end of stroke and getting stuck?

The leaf on the eos is intact and seems to be working like it should when interacting with the pawl. That was my first thought when the issue started but no luck.

Quoted from slochar:

When you say resistor you mean the yellow capacitor on the flipper for spark supression?

Yes sorry misspoke. The cap is fairly new about a year old.
I'll try disconnecting from the interconnect board and see what I come up with. Thank you both again for your help.
