I typically use an Allen wrench and I turn to remove by recently I'm finding that only the screw on the outside of the machine comes loose and the holder inside remains.

I'm trying to remove to install mirror blades. See attached. Is there a better trick?

They are really tight and seem to be forced in from factory or wrong hole drilled. I had to really wrench in mine and it finally broke loose and so actually split the wood a tiny bit. Other one came out easy.

They are typically flanged on the end of the sleeve which tends to hold them in place.
