I"m noticing my HS and Pinbot are needing more incline.
Is there an easy way to adjust the levelers without taking off the leg?
What's your guys tips?
THanks
I get under the machine on my hands and knees, lift the machine up with my back, and turn the leveller by hand.

I did that on a WOZ. Boy, do I feel macho.
Try Magic Sliders on the feet. With these on, you can just twist the slider to adjust the leg - no lifting required.
If the game is already level left to right, I will sometimes put coasters or wooden blocks of varying sizes under the rear legs. This way you can raise both sides evenly, and raise the steepness past what the levelers will allow if you like.

This is what I do also. I allows you to make small adjustments and check with an Clinometer (fancy level) until you get it perfect. The only time I take the leg off is when the leg levelers are so rusted you can't turn 'em by hand. Then, it's about time to replace 'em anyway.
I generally do the "hands and knees" approach.
I like the other ideas mentioned though, especially the sliders..
ANyone know what the purpose of the nut that sits atop of the leveler is for?
Quoted from Blackbeard:ANyone know what the purpose of the nut that sits atop of the leveler is for?
That nut is technically supposed to be on the bottom in between the foot and the leg and is used to tighten down and help load bearing once you have the feet adjusted to the desired height. (at least that's what I've always thought, feel free to correct me)
lift the front of the machine onto a stool that so the machine is slightly off the ground. adjust levelers, remove stool.

Yup. It also keeps the leveler in place, in case you're one of those guys who likes to move the game around when playing.
And I also just get down and dirty and crawl under the machine.
It's amazing that at this stage in the history of pinball there hasn't been a more modern approach to this. Some sort of new foot that makes adjusting a snap.

The nut "locks" the leveler to prevent cheating in the arcade. Not really necessary in the home gameroom.
when i picked up a machine once (from jim, "gott lieb" on rgp), he had a home made "fulcrum thingie" that he placed under the end of the machine, and by pushing on the other end, it lifted one end of the machine up in the air...
i wish i had paid more attention at the time, because i sure could use one of those...

That is true too, but the nut locks the leveler tight to the bottom of the leg for no movement of leveler threads. It also puts the weight of the machine on the threads threads the nut is on, and not the leg thread hole. Some legs have an extension of threads, some don't.
Quoted from dmacy:I use a pry bar. Start at back with angle meter and adjust, then adjust the level from side to side at the back, then adjust side to side front. Recheck angle as it may have been slightly tweaked I used to install office furniture so this was my primary way to do this kind of thing.

Bingo. Flat bar works great.

I did this for a while until it caused a MAJOR strain in my neck muscles that lasted for months. Never again and I'm not weak by any means. Be careful.
Wow those are cool. I lift my little brother turns. I'd be too scared im gonna drop it to try it on my own.

I call that "the turtle".
Quoted from Eddie:I use nothing but these on all of my machines why use anything else?

Those are pretty sweet. Still available?

No longer available unfortunately. I wish I would have bought some.
Quoted from o-din:Lock two nuts together on top of the shaft and you have the same thing.
Yep, or use RED loc-tite with a single nut - it ain't going nowhere.
Use a 2nd "free" nut on the shaft if you want to be able to lock the legs in position on location.
Quoted from iceman44:I like to lift that heavy bitch and then twist it with my toes...........
Video please....LOL

picture?
Quoted from TheFamilyArcade:on top of what shaft? Picture?
On top of the threaded portion of the leg levelers, if you tighten two nuts together very tight (this is called double nutting) they will hold well, and you can use a wrench or ratchet to turn the assembly up or down. An impact driver may cause the nuts to separate. I use this method if the levelers are stuck.

What a great idea! Going to have to make one of these!

Problem with this is I like to crank my rear legs all the way up. There would be no room for two nuts up there.

Your solution is to RED Loc-tite one nut at the very end of the shaft.
Install the 2nd free nut between the foot and the leg.

Then it looks like it's the "turtle" for you!

I seriously wondered if I was the only one who did it that way!
